고등학생의 사회불안과 학교적응의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학생을 대상으로 사회불안과 학교적응의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 수도권 소재 3개 고등학생 340명(남학생: 186명, 여학생: 154명)이며, 2016년 6월부터 7월까지 설문을 실시하였다. 분석방법은 측정변수들 사이에 상관관계를 분석했으며, 잠재변수 간의 관계를 검증하기 위해 구조방정식 모형을 적용하였다. 측정도구는 사회불안 척도, 공감능력 척도, 학교적응 척도를 사용하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생의 사회불안과 공감능력 사이에 유의미한 부적 상관관계, 사회불안과 학교적응 사이에도 유의미한 부적상관관계가 나타났다. 그러나 고등학생의 공감능력과 학교적응 사이에는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 고등학생의 사회불안과 학교적응과의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 연구모형과 경쟁모형을 설정하고 이를 검증한 결과, 공감능력이 부분 매개하는 연구모형이 더 적합한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점과 제한점, 추후연구에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to look into the effect of high school students empathic ability mediates the process in which their social anxiety affects their school adjustment. The subjects of study were 340 high school students(186 male students and 154 female students) in capital area. They were assessed by social anxiety scale, empathic ability scale, school adjustment scale. The data were analyzed through Structural Equating Model(SEM). The results of the study are as follows: First, there were significant negative correlations between social anxiety and empathic ability. And there were significant negative correlations between social anxiety and school adjustment. But there were significant positive correlations between empathic ability and school adjustment. Second, a research model and a competitive model were set up and verified in order to inquire into the mediating effect of high school students empathic ability in the relationship between their social anxiety and school adjustment, and as a result, the research model in which empathic ability partly mediated the relationship between social anxiety and school adjustment was more appropriate. Based on the results of the study, implications and limitations of the study and future research were discussed.
