외래어 표기과정에서의 현대 중국어 字義 확장과 교육방안 연구― 단음절 음역어를 중심으로

국문 초록

서양과의 교류가 활발해지면서 중국어에 유입되는 외래어 역시 증가하고 있는데, 중국어에서 외래어를 표기하는 방법으로는 음역과 음의겸역, 의역, 차용 등이 있다. 특히 음역어는 표의문자의 성격이 강한 한자의 한계를 드러냄과 동시에 한자의 표음성을 부각시키고 자의를더욱 확장시키는 데 도움이 되었다. 본고에서는 몇 가지 단음절 음역어를 예로 들어 음역을통한 한자의 자의 확장과 자의 유형 분류 그리고 그 교육방법에 대해 살펴보았다. 예를 들어,‘磅, 迈’처럼 외래어와 발음이 비슷하면서 자형에서 의미의 연관성을 찾을 수 있는 것은 그자의 유형을 同音假借 引伸義 혹은 字形引伸 假借義로 분류해 볼 수 있는데, 이는 모두 외래어 표기와 관련된 새로운 자의 유형이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 중국어 교육 측면에서 ‘卡, 托,吧, 磅, 迈’ 등은 HSK 6급 어휘에 假借義가 사용된 관련 단어가 있었는데, 특히 ‘卡’는 관련단어가 모두 음역어로 음역을 통한 한자 자의 확장의 대표적인 예라 할 수 있다. 이처럼 중국어 상용 어휘에서 음역어로 사용된 한자는 그 本義와 引伸義는 물론 假借義까지 고려해 교육을 해야 한다.

영문 초록

This paper described a transcription method of loan words in Chinese, such astransliteration, meaning and translation, free translation, borrowing etc. And then,described the meaning expansion of Chinese characters. In order to indicate theextension or borrowing and the type of classification of Chinese charactersmeaning, this paper selected fourteen monosyllabic words.As a result, the Chinese characters belongs to the pure transliteration words, itsmeaning can be classification to borrowed meaning. And the Chinese charactersbelongs to the glyphs ideographic transliteration words, such as "磅、迈". Itsmeaning can be classified to the borrowed homophone extended meaning orshape extension borrowed meaning, because the shape and pronunciation arerelative to loan words. And the Chinese characters belongs to the meaning andtranslation words, such as "酷". Its meaning can be classified to the borrowedhomophone extended meaning, because the shape and pronunciation are relativeto loan words. The borrowed homophone extended meaning or shape extensionborrowed meaning. This type of meaning also considers the relation of themeaning and the pronunciation between the Chinese characters and loan words, soit's different from the existing type of Chinese characters meaning.Transliteration of Chinese characters for a transcription of loan words is not onlyaffect the meaning expansion and development of Chinese characters, but also canevince Chinese characters is flexibly adapted to modern society. This meansChinese characters still have strong vitality.
