효과적 대학 독서 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

이글은 우리나라 독서 교육 연구 흐름과 방향성, 효과적 독서 교육방안을 고찰하는 것이다. 2000년대 초반부터 우리나라 모든 대학에서 기존의 ‘교양국어’ 과목을 ‘글쓰기’로 전환하는 개혁이 이뤄졌다. ‘글쓰기’에는 수업을 듣는 이의 주체적이고 적극적인 수업활동은 강화되었지만 ‘교양국어’가 가졌던 독해, 특히 좋은 글 읽기의 비중이 적어졌다. 전범이 될 만한 좋은 글 읽기는 정서 함양, 사고력 배양에 도움을 주고 아울러 좋은 글을 쓸 수 있는 기초 작업이므로 강화되어야 한다. 교양 글쓰기 수업에서도 독서 관련 교과목의 수반이 요청된다. 사회문화적 독서가 전제되지 않은 글쓰기는 지식 재생산 역할을 하기 어렵기 때문이다. 여기에서 대학 독서 교육의 방안으로 도서관과의 연계, 독서 교과목의 실질적 운영, 비교과로서의 학생 자치 프로그램, 인성교육과의 연계 등의 항목으로 살펴보았다. 첫째, 대학 독서 교육을 위해 대학의 심장부인 대학도서관의 역할을 강화해야 한다. 다양한 프로그램으로 학생들을 대학도서관으로 유도하여야 하고 동시에 독서 인증제 등 제도적 뒷받침이 이루어지도록 한다. 둘째, 교과목으로서 <독서>의 정착이다. 짜임새 있는 교과목을 다양하게 만들어 교양필수로 설강하여야 하며 나아가 모든 전공 교과목에 독서를 연계시켜야 한다. 교과목별 독서 전문 교수를 배치하거나 계획된 독서 프로그램이 필요하다. 셋째, 학생 자발적 독서 프로그램과 아울러 인성교육 연계가 필요하다. 자발적 독서클럽이 실질적으로 이뤄질 수 있도록 학생튜터를 두고 교수가 관리하면서 학점이나 장학금 지원을 하게 되면 자치 독서클럽의 정착화에 도움이 될 것이다. 인성 영역 상담프로그램들과의 연계도 가능하다. 실효성 있는 독서 교육으로 평생 책 읽기가 지속 가능하도록 콘텐츠 등 실제 교육에 있어서 많은 연구가 이어져야 한다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to find out effective ways of teaching reading of Korea University. Most universities in Korea changed the ‘liberal national language’ subject to ‘writing’ in the early 2000s. The ‘Writing’ courses was reinforced active subjects of students. However, ‘writing’ course has been less reading, particular literacy reading that ‘liberal national language’ have had. The reading of all good writing is important. It is this basic task that can write good articles to help cultivate the emotions, thinking culture. It is urgently requested from the liberal arts of the writing that reading courses related to reading. Reading courses shall be established on an ongoing basis. It is important to reading deeply associated with social and cultural. If the students wrote without such a reading it does not serve to re-produce knowledge. It is important that the constant research for systematic reading education. This article was presented as a three-dimensional plan of the University of Reading Education. First, the relation to the university library. We must strengthen the role of the heart of the university library of the University of Reading for education. The university library is easily accessible. We must induce students in various programs in the university library. And we should be provided with a reading certification system such institutions. Secondly, reading must be settled curriculum. We must provide students with liberal arts curriculum that required to configure the texture. And we should be associated with the reading of all major subject areas. It is necessary to take the reading professional professor, or puts a particular reading program in every courses. Third, it is necessary to make a reading program that students is participate voluntary, and can training as good mind person. And we need to create a system that supports these voluntary reading club. We must strive to make reading effective education in the university to the students can have a lifelong habit of reading a book through them.
