한국어 교육을 위한 속담의 인지적 해석

국문 초록

본고의 목적은 한국어 학습자가 속담의 속뜻을 정확하게 파악하기 위해서는 인지언어학의 해석 이론 중 현저성에 주목해야 한다는 것을 밝히는 것이다. 현저성을 설명하기 위하여 본고는 의미역 이론을 도입하였고, 여러 의미역 중 경험역에 현저성을 가진 속담을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현저한 의미역을 상정하는 것이 속담 해석에 효과적이라는 것이다. 만약 경험역에 현저성을 부여하여야 하는 속담이라면, 경험역에 현저성을 제대로 부여하여야 속뜻을 정확하게 파악할 수 있다. 그 반대로 현저한 의미역을 파악하지 못하면 속뜻과 벗어나는 내용이 추론된다. 그러므로 속담은 교육할 때나 속담에 대해 뜻풀이할 때 현저성이 있는 의미역에 대한 정보를 넣는 것이 효과적이라 판단된다. 둘째, 경험역은 행위역보다 추상적인 것이라서 경험역에 현저성이 있는 속담은 그 속뜻을 파악하기가 어렵다는 것이다. 셋째, 신체 부위, 인간의 속성, 인간의 행위 따위의 인간에 속하여 있는 것이나 추상적인 것은 현저한 의미역이 되기 어렵다는 것이다. 넷째, 단문보다는 종속문ㆍ내포문ㆍ대등문이 생략된 것을 상정하는 과정을 더 거쳐야 하므로 해석하기에 더 어렵고, 경험역이 생략된 것이 생략된 것을 상정하는 과정을 더 거쳐야 하므로 해석하기에 더 어렵다. 따라서 속뜻을 추론하기 어려운 순서는 ‘경험역이 겉으로 드러난 단문 < 경험역이 생략된 단문 < 경험역이 겉으로 드러난 종속문ㆍ내포문ㆍ대등문 < 경험역이 생략된 종속문ㆍ내포문ㆍ대등문’ 이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to define impact on the correct interpretation of the proverb analyzing the prominence of the proverb with the experiencer. The results show that as follows. First, what estimates a thematic rules in the proverb interpretation is effective. If the proverb should have prominence at the experiencer, it need to gives prominence to the experiencer exactly. In other words, if you do not understand the remarkable thematic rules, the content being inferred is incorrect. So it is effective to put the information in this remarkable thematic rules, in order to solve for the inner meaning of proverb exactly. Second, the proverb that have prominence at the experiencer is more difficult than at the agent, as you exactly infer the inner meaning of the proverb . Because the experiencer is more abstract than the agent. Third, body parts and abstraction etc. can not be the remarkable thematic rules. Forth, a simple sentence is easier than a subordinate sentenceㆍa embedded sentenceㆍa coordinate sentence when you interpret the proverb. Because the interpreter should search out omitted thematic rules. Thus order on the difficulty of interpretaion is ‘the simple sentence that the experiencer seemingly emerge < the simple sentence that the experiencer is omitted < the subordinate sentenceㆍthe embedded sentenceㆍthe coordinate sentence that the experiencer seemingly emerge < the subordinate sentenceㆍthe embedded sentenceㆍthe coordinate sentence that the experiencer is omitted.’
