노년기 부부의 의사소통이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

최근까지 노년기 부부의 관계를 증진시키기 위한 요인을 찾기 위해 많은 연구자들이 노인부부의 결혼만족도를 예측할 수 있는 요인들을 규명하였으며, 이들 연구들은 노년기의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 가장 크게 영향력이 있는 변인은 부부관계요인이며, 성역할 태도, 부부간 의사소통 그리고 성생활만족 등을 제시하고 있는 가운데 최근의 노인관련 연구에서는 다루어지지 못하고 있어 시대적 흐름에 따른 노인부부의 의사소통 및 결혼만족도 간의 인과관계의 변화를 연구할 필요가 제기된다. 이와 같은 연구의 필요성 및 목적을 바탕으로 서울시에 거주하는 만 60세 이상의 부부가 모두 생종해 있는 기혼남녀 노인들을 대상으로 하여 3개의 노인복지관을 이용중인 노인들을 대상으로 조사하여 183부의 유효한 설문지를 이용하여 노인들이 인지하는 의사소통이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향관계를 분석하였다. 독립변수인 노인부부의 일반적 특성과 의사소통 특성이 종속변수인 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향력이 얼마나 되는가와 어떠한 독립변인들이 종속변수에 영향을 미치는가의 가설을 검증하기 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 노인부부의 일반적 특성 중에서 영향력이 있는 독립변수로는 성, 각방 사용여부, 학력 변인들이 95% 신뢰수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 전체 결혼만족도를 설명함에 있어 15.3%를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. F값을 살펴보면 유의확률은 .001수준이었으며 5.15의 값을 나타내고 있으며, 성별은 신뢰수준 .05에서의 t값은 -2.18, 각방 사용여부는 신뢰수준 .001에서 t값은 3.97, 노인의 중졸 학력은 신뢰수준 .05하에서 t값은 2.23, 노인의 고졸이상 학력은 신뢰수준 .001 신뢰수준에서 t값은 4.67로 나타났다. 또한, 의사소통 특성요인 중에서 영향력이 있는 변수로는 의사소통 및 하위변수 중에서 긴밀한 관계 변인들이 99% 신뢰수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 전체 의사소통을 설명함에 있어 34.2%를 설명하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. F값을 살펴보면 유의확률은 .05수준이었으며 39.65의 값을 나타내고 있으며, 의사소통 변인은 신뢰수준 .05에서의 t값은 0.87, 긴밀한 관계는 신뢰수준 .05하에서 t값은 1.24로 나타났다. 한편, 독립변수인 개인적 특성과 의사소통 특성 변인들이 종속변수인 결혼만족도에 영향을 미침에 있어서 연령과 각방 사용여부, 건강한 노인, 생활수준, 학력 변수의 경우 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 남성, 가족구성원수, 각방 사용여부, 건강이 보통인 노인, 직업유무 변수의 경우에는 부(-)의 영향관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 연령이 많을수록, 각방을 사용하지 않은 노인, 건강한 노인, 생활수준이 높을수록, 학력이 높을수록 노년기 부부의 결혼만족도는 증가하는 것으로 해석된다.

영문 초록
