어머니의 양육신념과 태도가 유아의 다중지능발달에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 자녀양육에 대한 인지적 특성인 신념에 대한 전반적인 경향을 조사하고, 양육에 대하여 보편적으로 나타나는 태도와의 관계는 어떠한지, 이들 변인들이 유아의 다중지능발달에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 실증적으로 규명하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 서울시에 거주하고 있는 유아와 어머니 400명을 대상으로 설문지 방식에 의하여 양육신념, 양육태도, 다중지능발달에 대한 내용을 조사하였다. 분석기법으로 빈도분석, 독립표본 t-test, 일원변량분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 양육신념, 양육태도, 다중지능의 차이를 살펴보았고, 양육신념과 양육태도, 다중지능발달과의 관계 및 양육신념과 양육태도가 다중지능에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주요 결과로는 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 양육신념, 양육태도, 다중지능의 차이가 유의하게 나타났으며, 양육신념과 양육태도의 하위영역에 따라 부분적으로 다중지능발달에 영향을 미치는 것을 나타났다. 또한 양육신념에서 성숙주의 신념을 강조할수록 애정적 태도와 자율적 태도를 보이는 성향이 두드러진 반면 환경주의 신념을 강조할수록 거부적 태도와 통제적 태도를 보이는 성향이 두드러지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해서 양육신념과 태도에 따라 유아의 다중지능발달에 다양하게 영향을 미친다는 것을 실증적으로 파악할 수 있었다. 이에 유아의 능력과 소질을 개발할 수 있는 영역별 다중지능발달을 위한 심도 있는 후속연구와, 올바른 부모의 양육신념과 태도를 위한 다양한 교육모형과 프로그램개발이 더욱 더 필요하다.

영문 초록

(Professor, Dept. of social welfare, Konkuk Continuing Education Center) The study investigated overall tendency of maternal parental beliefs of mother's with young children to find the relations between child rearing attitude and to reveal how those variables effect on preschoolers' multiple intelligence development. For the study, 400 preschoolers and mothers living in Seoul city were surveyed on maternal parental beliefs, child rearing attitude and multiple intelligence development. Percentage, average, deviation were used to figure out overall difference on variables and demographic factors of interviewers. Frequency method, independent sample ttest, one-way ANOVA, corelation analysis, multiple regression analysis were used as for analysis methods. As the result of this study, conclusions were as follows. The difference among maternal parental beliefs, child rearing attitude and multiple intelligence according to demographic factors showed meaningful difference. As for those results of the study, a mother of preschoolers, the more maternal parental attitude of environmentalism she has, the preschooler's overall multiple intelligence should be developed. Considered by surrounding environment or learning, in other words, experience and training can lead the level of development. The result means a mother's active role for child's development takes a positive influence on multiple intelligence development. In addition, a mother's maternal parental beliefs has meaningful relevance to multiple intelligence development. Therefore, follow up studies on areal multiple intelligence should be conducted to develop preschooler's ability and talent. Also, various educational models and programs for raising upright parental beliefs and attitude should be needed.
