災荒視野下的唐代糧價變遷與百姓生活略考

국문 초록

본문은 먼저 先行연구를 바탕으로 唐代의 곡물 가격(이하 糧價)의 정보에 대해 수집ㆍ정리하였다. 여기에는 가격 상승, 가격 하락 및 정상적인 가격 등 세 가지 유형이 포함되었다. 이것을 다시 斗米가격으로 환산하여, 통계 분석하는데 편리하게 하였다. 세 가지 유형의 糧價정보 중에서 높은 糧價정보가 가장 많이 보존되어 있는데, 주로 凶年(災荒), 戰爭및 경제 개혁 등과 같은 특수한 시기, 특히 흉년에 많이 나타났다. 다음은 낮은 糧價정보인데, 이 현상은 풍년(糧食豐稔)과 사회안정과 같은 태평시대에 주로 나타났다. 다음으로 정상적인 糧價정보로서 주로 당시 보편적인 현상이었기 때문에 史家들의 관심을 불러일으키지 못하여 가격 정보 보존 량이 적었다. 두 번째로 糧價정보에 대한 종합적 고찰을 바탕으로, 唐代糧價의 변화에 대한 추이를 분석하여 당시 糧價의 四高四低를 도출해냈다. 그 중에서 第三低는 假低實高임을 증명하였다. 서기 780년에서 805년, 약 25년 간 표면적으로 糧價가전 시기에 비해 약간 내려갔으나, 兩稅는 대부분 絹帛으로 대체하여 征錢은 일부분에 지나지 않았다. 그러나 착취는 반대로 가중되어 백성들의 생활은 호전되지 않았을 뿐만 아니라 갈수록 더 어려워 졌다. 마지막으로 흉년으로 인한 糧價변화가 평민 백성들의 생활에 끼친 구체적인 영향에 대해 토론하였다. 여기에는 貞觀初年, 백성들의 생활이 단지 아껴 입고, 아껴 먹는 정도로 식량이 풍족하지 못한 상황, 涼州의 屯田전후의 糧食저장과 糧價변동 상황, 흉년에 糧價상승이 백성들의 생활에 끼친 영향 등의 實例가 포함되었다. 例를 들면, 高宗永淳元年의 가뭄ㆍ蝗蟲피해ㆍ역병, 肅宗과 德宗貞元初및 唐末光啟年間의 戰亂과 饑荒이 빈번한 상황에서의 백성들의 생활상 등이 포함되었다. 아울러 이를 통하여, 唐代人口발전의 단계적인 특징과 糧價의 등락변화의 추이가 기본적으로 일치하였다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 논문의 말미에는 唐代의 糧價변화의 특징과 원인을 총결하였으며, 糧價와 식량안전 문제가 사회 안정에 주는 중요한 의의를 지적하였다.

영문 초록

This paper first made a comprehensive collection on the information of the grain price including the high price, low price and the normal price in the Tang Dynasty, and converted them into a bucket of rice price in order to make statistical analysis. In the three kinds of grain information, the amount of high grain price information which appeared in the special period including famine, war and economic reform was the greateast. Next to the high grain price information was the low price information which appeared in the grain bumper harvest, stable society and peace period. The preservation of the normal price information was the least due to its common at that time and historians regarded at least. Secondly, based on the comprehensive study of the price information, carried on the analysis to the changes of the grain price in the Tang Dynasty, and concluded that the prices had four high and four low, and points out the third low was false low but real high. The third low was about 25 years from the implementation of the two tax law at the first year of Jianzhong in De Zong period to the period of Shun Zong(780-805)，the grain price declined than previous superficially, in fact the exploitation aggravated on the contrary in this situation because of the two tax were converted into silk to pay most of the time and money collection was only a small part. So the living standard of the ordinary people did not improve, but more difficult. At last, the paper discussed the specific impact of famine caused by price changes to the lives of ordinary people, including the life of ordinary people was only scant themselves in food and clothes bearable can afford instead of food abundance in the early year of Zhenguan, the situation that Grain storage and grain price changed after the Liangzhou garrison compared with before, the instances that the grain prices increased which influenced on the lives of ordinary people when the famine happened, such as drought and locust and illness outbroke at the first year of Yongchun in Gao Zong period, the life situation of ordinary people under the interleaving of fighting and famine in Su Zong period and the early of Zhenyuan in De Zong period and Guangqi period at the end of the Tang Dynasty. And then pointed out that the fluctuation change trend of stage characteristics and grain population development in Tang Dynasty showed consistent. At the end of the paper summarizes the characteristics and causes on the price change, and pointed out the important significance of grain price and food security to social stability.
