국문 초록

이 연구에서는 신임교수와 예비교수를 위한 대학교수법코스를 개발하였다. 선행연구 분석결과와 국내외 17개 대학과 한국대학교육협의회에서 실시하고 있는 대학교수법코스와 세미나/워크숍의 프로그램 분석 및 참여관찰/면담 결과, 그리고 코스의 일부 내용만 운영한 네 차례의 워크숍 운영결과를 토대로 대학교 수법코스 실험프로그램을 개발하였다. 이 프로그램의 일부로 신임교수와 예비교수 대상 워크숍(15시간)을 운영하면서 개선점을 찾는 실행연구를 실시하였다. 이 과정에서의 참여관찰결과와 참가자면담 및 설문조사결과를 토대로 프로그램을 개선하여 40시간의 본 프로그램을 개발하고, 39명의 전문가 피드백을 반영하여 완성하였다. 실제 운영은 각 대학의 상황에 따라서 융통성 있게 할 수 있도록 원하는 운영시간 별 프로그램 구성방법을 제시하였다. 이 대학교수법코스의 특징은 수업분석법의 비중이 높으며, 이를 수업디자인, 수업방법 등 다른 주제들과 연계하여 효율적으로 학습하게 되어 있다는 점이다. 또한 주제에 따라 다양한 수업구조와 강의 직후의 실습 및 성찰과 피드백 중심의 프로그램 운영방식을 제시하여, 코스를 이수하는 과정에서 자연스럽게 다양한 수업구조와 액션 러닝 방식을 습득할 수 있도록 하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop a college teaching course for new professors and Ph.D. students who will teach at a college level. For this purpose, an action research was conducted. A pilot college teaching course was developed based on analysis of previous research and teaching related programs of seven Korean universities, the Korean Council for University Education, eight American universities and two British universities. Utilizing part of this pilot course program, the researcher organized and operated a workshop of 15 hours. During the workshop, participant observation, informal interviews and brief questionnaire surveys were conducted to gain feedback from the participants. Though the pilot course was rather successful, the researcher made a few improvements of the course based on the feedback. In addition, several more subjects were added. The completed course of 40 hours was reviewed by four experts who were interested in college teaching courses. The course received very good feedback from these reviewers except for a few minor points. Based on their comments, the course program and materials were improved. This final course and materials of more than 300 power point slides introduces important concepts necessary for effective college teaching, and it offers lecture notes and provides practice together with feedback sessions. The course also introduces diverse teaching analysis methods together with matters to be attended to during the process of the analysis. Diverse examples of using the analysis to improve teaching were also discussed. In addition, the procedure of designing college courses is introduced together with the use of case of actual course development.
