다문화가족 방문교육지도사의 역할과 교육경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 다문화가족 방문교육지도사들이 인식하고 있는 역할을 탐색하고, 그들의 역할 수행의 전문성 증대를 위해 시행하고 있는 교육에 대한 인식을 확인하여 방문교육지도사를 위한 교육의 방향성을 제시하는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구를 기초로 다문화가족 방문교육지도사들에 대한 심층면접을 통한 질적연구방법으로 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위하여방문교육지도사들의 역할과 교육에 대한 인식을 그들의 활동경험에 의하여 파악하였다. 연구결과, 방문교육지도사의 역할과 교육경험에 대하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 방문교육지도사의 역할은 업무의 특성상 다문화적 역량이 요구되므로 다문화 감수성, 다문화 수용성 등의 다문화적 효능감을 바탕으로 이해되어야 한다. 둘째, 방문교육지도사는 교사로서의 역할과 함께 멘토(mentor)로서의 역할을 한다. 셋째, 방문교육지도사를 위한 교육에 대해서는 현실성 없고 실무활용도가 낮은 교육인 경우가 많다고 인식하고 있다. 넷째, 교육내용에 관해서 상담교육이 강화될 필요가 있으며, 보수교육에 대해서 장기적인 안목으로 체계화시킬 필요가 있다고 보았다. 위의 연구결과를 기초로 방문교육지도사의 교육에 대하여 다음과 같이 제언한다. 방문교육지도사의 역할과 교육은 다문화적 효능감을 기반으로 이행되어야 하므로 이와 관련된 교육프로그램과 교재의 개발을 제안한다. 교사로서의 전문성 증대 위하여 전문영역의 교차교육이 이루어져야 할 것이며, 다각적으로 확장된 사례연구를 통한 현장경험의 공유를 공식화가 필요하다. 또한 다문화가족 방문교육지도사의 교육을 위한 전문 강사 풀(pool)의 마련을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to suggest the direction for education experience through investigating the role that recognized by multi-cultural families' home educators and confirming their recognition for education that is being implemented to expand professionalism. To approach the purpose, researcher pursued an investigation through the depth interviews to multicultural families' home educators based on documentary research. And the researcher grasped their perceptions about the role and education's experience of home educators through their activity experiences. As a result, the following conclusion could be drawn about the role of home seducators. First, understanding the role of them has to be based on multicultural self-efficacy like multicultural sensitivity and multicultural receptive and so on. It is because the multicultural competency is required due to the nature of the work. Second, the home educators' role has to be played not only as a teacher but also as a mentor. Third, there were perceptions that the education for home educators is lack of practical use and reality in numerous cases. Further more, researcher suggests the cross training in expertise field to solve the role ambiguity and the formulation on sharing the local experience through the multilateral expanded case study. Based on the above findings, as follows proposed for education of the home educators. The role and the education for home educator is based on multicultural self-efficacy. In this regard, the proposal as follows the development of the training program and the materials. Further more, researcher suggests the cross training in expertise field to solve the role ambiguity and the formulation on sharing the local experience through the multilateral expanded case study. Therefore the pool of expert instructors with professional knowledge has to be instituted for education of home visiting educators.
