한국 미술대학 한국학과 인물화교육에 있어 인체해부학의 필요성에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

아른하임(Arnheim)에 의하면 ”어떤 순간에 대상을 관찰하는 일은 언제나 그가 전에 본 것, 생각한 것, 배운 것들에 영향을 받는다.“고 하였다(Arnheim. 2003). 이는 인간이 환경의 지배를 받는다는 것을 반증하는 말이다. 그런데 우리주변의 대부분의 인물의 비례는 서양의 비례에 맞추어 쏟아내고 있다. tv 광고에서의 비정상적인 비율, V 라인 S 라인 아이돌들에 요구되는 비례 등, 현재 대학생들이 적어도 인체에 있어서 어떤 순간에 대상을 관찰하는 일은 언제나 이와 같다. 그리고 이에 대한 부작용은 실제 대학의 실습현장에서 여실히 드러나고 있다. 즉, 실습현장에서 서양인의 얼굴과 8등신 모델의 인체를 적잖이 만나게 된다는 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 학생들에게 점차 희석 되어가는 우리 인물화(초상화)의 우수성과 그 정신성 그리고 오늘날 한국 인물화의 달라진 무게감의 원인을 되짚어 보고자 한다. 이때 한국의 인물화는 대체로 초상화를 중심으로 논할 것이며 앞으로 현대인물화의 대안으로서 인체해부학의 부각을 논하고자 한다. 즉, 해부학적 지식은 현대미술에서의 적용이 용이하여 향후 학생들의 취업을 향한 실력 쌓기에 도웅이 될 뿐만이 아니라 선업 작가로서의 개성을 마음껏 드러내는 데에도 용이하므로 이야말로 미술대학의 한국화 중 인물화 수업에 있어서 필수적이라 주장하는 것이다. 이는 현대미술의 줄기에서 초상화와 근접 하여 리얼리티를 부가하고 더 나아가 전신(傳神)을 표출할 수 있는 현대식 논법일 수 있기 때문이다.

영문 초록

Rudolf Arnheim said, "Observing an object at a certain moment is always affected by what he previously saw, thought, and learned." This proves that humans are environment-controlled. However, most of the human figure proportions around us are of western ones. TV commercials show abnormal proportions sometime referred to as V Line or S Line. a requirement for idols and stars. What is observed at least in relation to human bodies by students is always like this. Also. the side effects are clearly seen on the very sites of university learning. On the sites of practice. we often meet westernized faces and bodies of models. This study aims to revisit the excellence and spirituality of Korean human figure paintings (portraits) whose significance has been diluted gradually and reflect on the causes of such shifts found in contemporary Korean human figure paintings. Human figure paintings mostly refer to portraits and as an alternative to contemporary human figure paintings, the study will highlight the importance of human anatomy. This is to maintain that anatomical knowledge is essential in classes of Korean paintings at art colleges. The paper will maintain that it is especially more important for human figure paintings as it is easily applied to contemporary art and helps students to get more prepared for employment and develop their individual uniqueness as professional artists. This is because human anatomy adds reality in proximity to portraits as a branch of contemporary art and it can work as a contemporary logic to express spirituality.
