국문 초록

본 연구는 睡軒權五福의 삶과 문학에 대한 연구의 일환으로서, 그가 창작한 漢詩작품을 대상으로 하여 작품 속에 담긴 睡軒의 삶의 지향성을 究明하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이것은 초기사림파 지식인들의 삶의 궤적과 문학 세계를 보다 精緻하고 온전하게 이해하기 위한 토대를 마련하기 위한 것이다. 睡軒權五福(1467～1498)은 佔畢齋의 門人으로서 弔義帝文을 史草에 올렸다는 죄목으로 戊午史禍때 능지처사를 당하였다. 그가 생존했던 시기는 勳舊세력과 士林세력 사이의 대립이 표면화되기 시작한 때이다. 이런 시기에 睡軒은 강직한 성품으로 평생 義理에 부합하는 삶을 추구하고, 끊임없이 학문에 힘썼다. 睡軒의 漢詩작품에는 일상의 삶 속에서 ‘忠’과 ‘孝’를 실천하고자 한 의지가 곳곳에 드러난다. 작품 속에 형상화된 忠義를 갖춘 官人으로서의 睡軒의 면모는 쉼 없는 공부를 통해 축적한 학문적 소양과 그것을 기반으로 구 축한 신념을 자신의 삶과 정치 현실에 구현하고자 하는 新進士人로서의 의지가 발현된 것이다. 이것은 濯纓을 비롯하여 당대 佔畢齋의 영향력 아래 있었던 新進士人들이 小學과 家禮의 실천을 강조하며, 형이상학적인 이론으로서의 道보다는 실천 윤리로서의 道를 중요시했던 것과 무관하지 않다. 추후 심화된 논의를 통해 睡軒의 개인적 특성을 보다 섬세하게 포착한다면 그의 인간적 면모와 문학 세계를 온전하게 이해하는 단초를 마련할 수 있을 것이다. 더 나아가 당대 新進士人들의 다양한 면모를 구체적·종합적 으로 考究하는 데에 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

a study on Soo-heon Kwon Oh Bok's life and literature, the present study aimed at identifying his life purpose by the means of analyzing his Chinese poems. This analysis was to provide a solid base for sound and fair understanding of the life and literary world of Early Neo-Confucian Literati. Soo-heon Kwon Oh Bok (1467～1498) was a disciple of Jeompiljae. In the Muo-Sahwa, he was killed and dismembered on the charge of writing Joeuijemun in the historical materials. He lived at the time when conflicts between the Meritorious Elite and the Neo-Confucian Literati began to emerge. Even during such a hard time, Soo-heon of unbendingly honest nature pursued a life in accordance with his loyalty and put his constant efforts to study. In Soo-heon's Chinese poetry works are manifested his wills to actualize ‘loyalty' and 'filial piety' in everyday life. Soo-heon's quality and character as a government official with loyalty and filial piety described in his works are the results of his academic literacy accumulated through continuous study and his wills as a new scholar to embody his faith in his life and political reality. This is relevant with the fact that disciples of Jeompiljae including Tak-young considered Tao as practical ethics in stead of a metaphysical theory and emphasized the practice of The Elementary-Learning and The Family-Ritual. Further discussion will be needed to elaborate unique characteristics of Soo-heon in more detail. In turn, it would be able to pave the way for better understanding of his humane qualities and literary world. Furthermore, it is expected to assist in examining various characteristics of the new literati of the time from a more specific and comprehensive perspective.
