국문 초록

본고는 최상규 소설에 등장하는 주인공들의 도착화된 병리현상이 현대적 주체의 히스테리 특성임과 동시에, 아울러 이러한 병리현상이 현대적 주체의 ‘아버지 열망’과 연관됨을 밝히고자 한다. 최상규 소설의 많은 부분은 ‘부자 관계’에 조명되어 있다. 아버지 살해, 동성애적 욕망, 원시적 공동체에 대한 향유 등은 결국 아버지와의 동일시적 욕망이 잠재된 것이라는 것이 본고의 주안점이다. 『악령의 늪』, 「형성기」, 「건곤」, 『새벽기행』 등에 나타나는 주인공들의 다양한 도착증적 현상은 후기자본주의 시대를 살고 있는 현대적 주체의 거세공포에 기인한다. 이 같은 주체의 병리현상들은 후기자본주의가 생산한 ‘잉여’적 생산물이다. 다시 말해 후기자본주의적 주체란 오인의 한 과정이며, 이는 결국 상징적 아버지에 대한 부정임과 동시에 강력한 힘을 가진 기원적 아버지에 대한 열망으로 이어진다. 최상규의 소설에서 빈번하게 등장하고 있는 ‘위치 바꿈’ ‘익명성’ ‘기다림’ 등의 개념들은 주체의 ‘오인’을 유도한다. 이것은 자본주의의 메커니즘인 사물화와 유사한 개념이다. 전쟁, 군부독재, 산업화와 도시화에 따른 병리현상은 잉여적 주체를 생산하는 메커니즘으로 작용하고 있다. ‘나의 여자’를 ‘그의 여자’로, ‘친구의 여자’를 ‘나의 여자’로 바꾸는 「가멸법」에서와 같은 위치 전도 현상은 히스테리적 환상에서 빈번하게 일어나는 양가적 현상의 일환으로, 이는 오이디푸스기에 기원을 두고 있다. 또한 복제인물 표상화되는 『새벽기행』의 ‘그’는 ‘나’의 오인된 표상물이다. 이때 ‘나’는 오인된 주체 그 자체로 존재할 때 블랙홀의 심연에서 벗어날 수 있다.이러한 양가성은 주체 형성의 기원에 바탕을 둔 것으로, 그것은 결국 기원적 아버지에 대한 애정과 증오의 원천이다.

영문 초록

The paper tries to disclose that the perverse pathological symptom of characters in Choi Sanggyu’s novels is one of features of modern subject, hysterics, showing that such a pathological symptom is related with the ‘father aspiration’ of modern subject. Many parts of Choi Sanggyu’s novels shed light on the relationship between a father and son. Thus, the paper focuses that the murder of father, homosexual desire, and nostalgia to primitive community are caused by the potential desire to be identified with father. Varying perversion phenomena of characters in 『Swamp of the evil spirit』, 「The formative period」, 「Heaven and earth」, and 『Dawn journey』are traced back to the castration fear of the modern subject living in the post capitalism period. These pathological symptoms of the modern subject are surplus products made by the post capitalism. In other words, the subject of the post capitalism is one process of misconception. After all, it is connected with the denial of the symbolic father and an aspiration for the original father who has a powerful force at the same time. The concepts frequently appearing in his novels, such as ‘position change,’ ‘anonymity,’ ‘waiting,’ and so on, induce misconception of modern subject. This is a similar concept to the materialization of capitalism. Pathological symptoms caused by war, military dictatorship, industrialization, and urbanization present that they work as a mechanism that produces surplus subjects. As position change like ‘my girl’ is changed into ‘his girl’ and ‘my friend’s girl’ ‘my girl’ is one of ambivalent phenomena that frequently happen in a hysterical situation, it dates from the Oedipus period. 『Dawn journey』 Justice he is a symbol of which me is misconception. This time when existing with that oneself of the subject which is misconception there is a possibility of deviated from the abyss of the black hole. As such an ambivalence is traced back to the origin of forming a subject, after all it is a source of love and hatred toward the original father.
