국문 초록

정신지체 청소년은 전반적인 발달의 지체로 인하여 언어 및 사회성 발달의 지체를 보인다. 이로 인하여 사회적 기술에 있어서 어려움을 나타내며, 적응행동의 결함을 보인다. 이는 많은 경우 스스로 선택하고 결정할 수 있는 기회를 충분히 제공받지 못하여 적절하게 자기 표현력을 나타내는데 어려움을 보일 수 있다. 본 연구는 정신지체 청소년을 대상으로 점토를 이용한 미술치료활동을 반복적으로 실시하여 자기 표현력에 미치는 효과를 알아 보였다. 연구대상은 서울 시내 소재 J구에 위치한 K특수학교의 중학부 학생 29중 지능검사, 사회성숙도 검사를 실시한 후 최종 면담 통하여 4명의 정신지체 청소년 4명을 연구 집단으로 주2회 총30회기동안 점토를 이용한 미술치료활동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 그 결과 단순한 학습차원을 넘어 자유롭게 매체를 활용한 형태의 변화와 더불어 주제표현에 있어 창의성을 보였다. 특히 ,자신의 작품에 대해 타인에게 전달하는 능력을 보이는 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 점토를 이용한 미술치료활동이 정신지체 청소년의 자기 표현력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 양적연구와 질적연구를 병행하였다. 질적연구는 미술치료 실시 이후 자기표현력 변화정도와 변화상태를 알아보았다.

영문 초록

Adolescents with mental retardation are delayed in development of language, thinking, and behavior regulatory function and are in defect of adaptability due to retardation of general development. Therefore, in many cases, the adolescents with mental retardation do not have enough chances of choice and determination by themselves, and may experience difficulties in appropriate self-expression. This study examines to figure out the effect of repeated using clay art therapy action on the self-expression ability of adolescents with mental retardation who are educable. For this study four adolescents with mental retardation as a experimental group are selected out of twenty-nine middle school students from K Special School at J district in Seoul through an intelligent test, a social maturity test and final interview. The experimental group ran the 30 sessions of art therapy action using clay twice a week. As a result of the sessions, the experimental group showed the creativity in expression of their subjects as well as the ability of changing clay figure by using the media in their own ways over the simple learning ability. Especially, it showed the positive effect which enables the experimental group to transfer their intention of work to others. Knowing the effect of using clay art therapy action on the self-expression ability of adolescents with mental retardation, this study using clay go together study of quality and quantity. Since art therapy action, the study of quality has been studied self-expression ability change of degree and state.
