국문 초록

현대 철학과 교육학의 역사에서 해석학과 도덕교육이 이해의 문제를 공통된 관심사로 하고 있다는 점은 양자의 내적 관련성을 파악할 수 있는 중요한 단서에 해당한다. 해석학에서 이해의 문제는 인간의 인식과 존재의 문제를 파악하는 데 중요한 거점이 되며, 도덕교육에서 이해의 문제는 지식과 심성의 관련 문제와 지식교육을 통한 심성함양의 문제를 해명하는 데 중요한 통찰을 제공한다. 양자의 내적 관련성을 염두에 둘 때, 이해의 문제에 관한 해석학의 논의는 이해의 경험적 사태로서의 교과 공부의 성격과 의미를 파악하는 데 빛을 던져주며, 지식과 심성의 관련을 탐구하는 교과 공부의 사태는 해석학적 경험으로서의 이해의 의미와 가치를 밝히는 데 중요한 도움을 제공한다. 이 점에서 이해와 심성의 관련을 탐색하는 해석학과 도덕교육의 만남은 해석학적 경험이 구체적으로 실천되는 교과 공부의 사태에서 자아가 어떻게 크고 아름다운 마음을 지향할 수 있는가의 문제를 해명해준다. 이러한 시도는 지식교육을 통한 심성함양의 문제를 여실하게 밝혀주는 수업이론의 성립 가능성을 열어준다.

영문 초록

In the history of modern philosophy and education, the shared concern of hermeneutics and moral education with the problem of understanding serves as a crucial clue for recognizing their intrinsic connection. In hermeneutics, the problem of understanding functions as a key focal point for examining human cognition and existence, whereas in moral education, it provides essential insights into the relationship between knowledge and the mind, as well as the role of knowledge-based education in cultivating the mind. Given this intrinsic connection, discussions in hermeneutics regarding the problem of understanding illuminate the nature and significance of subject learning as an experiential process of understanding. Conversely, exploring subject learning in relation to the cultivation of the mind offers a deeper understanding of the meaning and value of understanding as a hermeneutic experience. In this regard, the intersection of hermeneutics and moral education, particularly in their exploration of the relationship between understanding and the mind, clarifies how the self can aspire toward a greater and more virtuous mind through the concrete practice of subject learning as a hermeneutic experience. This endeavor opens up the possibility of establishing an instructional theory that effectively reveals the role of knowledge-based education in cultivating the mind.
