국문 초록

삼국시대 토기에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되었지만, 토기 문양에 대한 연구는 여전히 부족한 실정이다. 특히, 문양 연구 중에서도 시문 기법에 관한 연구는 더욱 미흡한 편이다. 따라서 본고에서는 가야의 대표적인 문양인 파상문의 시문 기법을 심층적으로 분석하였다. 파상문을 연구 대상으로 선정한 이유는 시문 방법이 문양에 직접 반영되어 분석하기 용이하기 때문이다. 또한, 다른 문양과는 달리 다량의 출토 유물이 있어 연구의 신뢰성을 높이는 데 기여한다. 파상문은 주로 장경호, 발형기대, 통형기대에 시문되는데, 그중 가장 시문 기법이 뚜렷하게 나타난 발형기대를 연구 대상으로 한다. 먼저, 파상문 시문에 영향을 미치는 요인과 파상문의 속성에 대해 기술하였다. 이를 통해 파상문의 속성에 대한 기본적인 이해를 확립하고, 시문 방법이 문양에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 다음으로, 발형기대에 시문된 파상문의 기법을 복원하고 이를 유형화하였다. 이어서 ANOVA Test 및 사후 분석을 통해 파장·파고·치구수를 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 김해·부산지역 발형기대 파상문의 특징을 규명하였다. 마지막으로 신라 기대에 시문된 파상문과 김해·부산지역의 파상문을 비교하여, 김해·부산지역의 체계적인 파상문 시문 기법을 재확인하였다.

영문 초록

Despite extensive research on pottery from the Three Kingdoms Period, studies on pottery patterns remain insufficient. In particular, research on the techniques of patterning is lacking. Therefore, this paper delves into the techniques used to inscribe the representative pattern of Gaya, the wave pattern. The wave pattern was chosen as the subject of study because the patterning method is directly reflected in the design, making it easier to analyze. Additionally, the abundance of excavated artifacts featuring this pattern enhances the reliability of the study. Wave patterns are primarily inscribed on long-necked jars, bowl-shaped pottery stands, and cylinder-shaped pottery stands. Among these, the bowl-shaped pottery stands most clearly exhibit the characteristics of the inscribing technique. Therefore, this type was selected for study. First, the factors influencing the wave pattern and its attributes were described, establishing a basic understanding of the pattern's characteristics and the impact of the patterning techniques on the design. Next, the study reconstructs the inscribing techniques used for wave patterns on bowl-shaped pottery stands and categorizes them into specific types. Subsequently, ANOVA test and post hoc analysis were conducted to analyze wavelength, wave height, and the teeth of a tool. Based on this, the characteristics of wave patterns from the Gimhae and Busan regions were identified. Finally, by comparing the wave patterns inscribed on the Silla stands with those from the Gimhae and Busan regions, the systematic inscribing techniques of wave patterns in the Gimhae and Busan regions were reaffirmed.
