온라인 그루밍의 메커니즘 분석과 보안 전략 제언

국문 초록

코로나19 팬데믹 이후 많은 인간 활동이 온라인으로 전환되면서 국내에서 다양한 형태의 디지털 성범죄가 발생하고 있다. 특히, 대표적인 디지털 성범죄 중 하나인 온라인 그루밍에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 그 수법 또한 꾸준히 진화하고 있어 이에 대한 심층적인 연구의 필요성이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 기존의 국내 연구는 주로 법적 및 정책적 측면에서 진행되었으나, 범죄의 효과적인 예방 및 대응을 위해서는 전체 범죄 과정을 세분화하여 분석하는 작업이 선행될 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 범죄학적 관점에서 온라인 그루밍의 전 과정을 범죄 스크립트 분석 방법론을 적용해 도출하였고, 그 결과 온라인 그루밍의 범행 전 단계는 두 가지 과정, 범행 중 단계는 다섯 가지 과정, 범행 후 단계는 두 가지 과정으로 구성됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 온라인 그루밍의 메커니즘을 전반적으로 분석하여 심층적인 이해를 제공하고, 단계별로 보안 전략을 제시함으로써 온라인 그루밍을 보다 효과적으로 예방하고 대응하며, 관련 정책과 실무적 접근 방안을 개선하는 데 기여하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has driven many human activities online, various forms of digital sex crimes have emerged in South Korea. In particular, online grooming, one of the most prominent digital sex crimes, is receiving increasing attention, and its methods have been constantly evolving, further emphasizing the need for in-depth research. Existing domestic research has mainly focused on legal and policy aspects, but for effective prevention and response to the crime, it is necessary to analyze the entire crime process in detail. This study analyzed the entire process of online grooming from a criminological perspective by applying the criminal script analysis methodology, and found that the pre-crime phase of online grooming consists of two processes, the criminal event phase consists of five processes, and the post-crime phase consists of two processes. By analyzing the mechanism of online grooming as a whole, providing an in-depth understanding and presenting the security strategies of each stage, this study aims to contribute to more effective prevention and response to online grooming and improve related policies and practical approaches.
