유아와 찰흙의 내부-작용에서 놀이에 대한 탐구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 유아와 찰흙의 내부-작용에서 각각의 행위성은 어떻게 생성되고 작동하며 내부-작용에서 생성되는 놀이는 어떠한지에 대해 탐구하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 만 3세 유아 13명이 찰흙과 감응하며 놀이하는 모습을 15회기 관찰하고 녹화 동영상 및 전사본, 연구자일지, 유아면담 등의 자료를 생성하였다. 자료해석은 2년전 이루어졌던 유아와 찰흙의 행위성 관점에서의 분석자료로 다시-돌아가기와 데이터와 관계적 물질주의 문헌 읽기, 연구자 모임 등을 회절하면서 자료선택-맥락화하기-범주화하기 과정을 통해 이루어 졌다. 연구결과: 유아와 찰흙은 서로 개입하고 영향을 주며 조화를 이루는 가운데 유아는 찰흙의 물질성에 감응하며 반복적 신체 수행을 하고 운동하는 찰흙에 따라 자기 신체규모를 변동시켜 갔고 찰흙은 지속적 자기 변화를 통해 되기가 일어나며 유아의 감응과 수행에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 찰흙은 유아의 기억, 경험, 상상을 불러일으키면서 이야기가 풀어지고 공유되고 표상되면서 놀이가 생성되었다. 마지막으로 유아와 찰흙의 만남에서 다른 놀이자료나 또래 친구와 교사들이 얽히면서 상황적 행위성의 발현과 함께 지속적으로 차이가 생성되는 놀이가 펼쳐졌다. 논의 및 결론: 놀이자료는 얽힌 관계성에 의해 어떤 것을 행하는 생동하는 생명성을 가진 세계의 존재로 유아와 놀이자료는 잠재성이 가득한 관계이다. 놀이를 통한 배움의 지원을 위해 유아와 놀이자료의 만남과 수행성을 통한 차이 생성적 되기를 이해하는 성인의 역할이 중요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose: In this study, we sought to explore how each agency of children and clay is created and operated in their intra-actions and what kind of play is generated from the intra-actions. Method: We observed 13, 3-year-old children being affective and playing with clay for 15 sessions, and created data such as recorded videos, transcripts, researcher diaries, and interviews with children. The data interpretation was done through the process of data selection-contextualization-categorization, re-turning to the analysis data created from the perspective of the agency of children and clay that was done two years ago and diffracting reading data and relational materialism literature, and researchers’ meetings. Results: While the children and the clay intervene, influence and harmonize with each other, the children respond to the materiality of the clay through repetitive physical performance and change their body scale according to the moving clay. The clay undergoes continuous self-change and becomes and it affected children's response and performance. In addition, clay evoked children's memories, experiences, and imaginations, and play was created as stories were told, shared, and represented. Lastly, in the encounter between children and clay, other play materials, peers, and teachers became entangled, creating a continuous difference-making play was created along with the emergence of situational agency. Conclusion: Play materials are existences of world with a vibrant life that does something through entangled relationships, and the relationship between children and play materials is full of potential. In order to support learning through play, the role of adults who understand the encounter between children and play materials and becoming difference-making through performativity is important.
