국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 현재 교육 분야의 포스트휴먼 관련 연구의 지형과 내용적 특징을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 2018년부터 2024년 3월까지 한국 학술 저널에 출판된 포스트휴먼 관련 교육 연구를 대상으로 양적 동향 분석과 질적 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 동향 분석 결과, 교육 분야 내 포스트휴먼 연구는 2019년을 기점으로 지속적으로 증가하였고 최근 5년 사이 본격적으로 확대되었다. 포스트휴먼 연구가 교육학 전반으로 확산되었으며, 경험연구가 눈에 띄게 증가하였다. 내용 분석 결과, 포스트휴먼 교육 연구에서 ‘포스트휴먼’은 ‘시대적 배경’ 또는 ‘새로운 사유’로 위치되었다. 포스트휴먼을 시대적 배경으로 위치시키는 교육 연구들은 공통적으로 과학･기술이 야기한 변화에 강조점을 두고 이러한 변화에 대응하기 위한 교육적 논의를 끌어내는 경향이 있는 반면, 포스트휴먼을 새로운 사유 측면에서 접근하는 연구들은 인본주의적 관점에서 벗어나 교육을 접근하는 방식을 재고하려는 경향을 보였다. 또한, 예술교육, 유아교육, 교육학 일반 분야에서 포스트휴먼을 통해 감응교육에 대한 관심, 어린이와 놀이 및 유아교육과정에 대한 재고, 학습관과 지식관에 관한 재지향이 나타났다. 마지막으로, 최근 증가되고 있는 교육 분야의 포스트휴먼 경험 연구에서는 방법론이 교육 현상의 재현을 넘어, 연구를 통한 새로운 대화 촉발에 초점이 있었다. 이를 위해 기존의 방법적 도구의 적용을 넘어 다양한 실험들이 고안되고 활용되는 모습 또한 확인할 수 있었다. 논의: 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로, 포스트휴먼 교육 연구 내에 존재하는 차이를 이해하고 지나친 기술결정론으로 그 흐름이 흘러가는 것을 경계할 필요성, 그리고 포스트휴먼적 사유에 기반한 방법론적 논의를 확장할 것이 제안되었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the current landscape and features of content in posthuman-related research in the field of education. Method: Quantitative trend analysis and qualitative content analysis were conducted on on posthuman-related educational research published in Korean academic journals from 2018 to March 2024. Results: The trend analysis revealed that the number of posthuman studies in education has continuously increased since 2019, with significant proliferation over the last fiver years. Poasthuman research has since spread across the entire field of education, with a notable increase in empirical studies. Content analysis showed that ‘posthuman’ is positioned in educational research as either a reflection of the current socio-cultural context or a new way of thinking. The former typically emphasizes the changes brought about by science and technology and discuss how education can respond to these changes, while the latter tends to explore approaches to education that move beyond humanistic perspectives. Additionally, we identified increased interest in affective education, a reconsideration of childhood, play, and early childhood curriculum, and a reorientation of perspectives on learning and knowledge in the fields of art education, early childhood education, and general education. Lastly, we found that the methodology in posthuman empirical studies, which are increasing in number, often focuses on igniting new dialogue rather than merely representing educational phenomena. Discussion: Based on the results, we suggest that researchers, educators, and policy makers should understand the differences within posthuman educational research, be cautious of the flow towards excessive technological determinism, and expand methodological discussions based on posthuman thinking.
