아시아권 옛이야기 그림책에 나타난 상호텍스트성과 유아의 반응

국문 초록

본 연구는 아시아 문화권 옛이야기에 나타난 상호텍스트적인 특성과 옛이야기 읽기 상황에서 나타난 유아들의 반응을 알아봄으로써 아시아 문화권 옛이야기 그림책이 이중 언어교육뿐만 아니라 서로의 문화교육에도 활용될 가능성을 모색한 연구이다. 문헌 연구를 통해 그림책 선정과 분석기준을 수립하여 선정한 한국 옛이야기 그림책 3권과 아시아 문화권 옛이야기 그림책 3권을 각각 1차, 2차 텍스트로 선정하여 분석하였으며, 광역시 사립 유치원 만5세반 유아 15명에게 그림책을 들려준 결과를 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 아시아 문화권 옛이야기에 나타난 상호텍스트성은 주제 간 유사성과 차이점, 등장인물 간 유사성과 차이점, 플롯 간 유사성과 차이점, 배경 간 유사성과 차이점으로 분석되었으며, 유아의 반응은 1차 텍스트와 연결한 반응, 다른 텍스트와 연결한 반응, 개인적 경험과 연결한 반응으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 서로 다른 문화권의 옛이야기 그림책에 나타나는 상호텍스트적 연관성은 유아의 개인적 경험부터 선행 텍스트까지 다양한 기억과 경험을 능동적으로 끌어내 다양한 해석을 할 수 있는 계기가 되므로 다문화에 대한 이해와 함께 미래사회에서 필요한 인간상을 키우는데 필요한 교수방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of using Asian traditional fairy tales not only for bilingual education but also for multicultural education by analyzing the intertextuality of Asian traditional fairy tales and children’s reactions to reading the stories. The selection and analysis criteria for picture books were established through prior research, and 3 picture books of Korean traditional fairy tales and 3 picture books of Asian traditional fairy tales were selected and analyzed. The picture books were read to 15 children in the 5-year-old class at a private kindergarten in a metropolitan city and analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study were as follows: The intertextuality of Asian traditional fairy tales was analyzed as the similarity and the difference between topics, characters, plots and backgrounds. Children showed a reaction in connection with the 1st text, a reaction in connection with other texts, and a reaction in connection with personal experience to the picture book. The results of this study suggest that the intertextual relationship that appears in Asian traditional fairy tales from different cultures actively draws out various memories and experiences, from the personal experiences of children to the preceding texts, and enables various interpretations. And it was confirmed that it is a teaching method necessary for understanding multiculturalism and nurturing the image of humanity needed in the future society.
