국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 조현병을 지닌 사람의 입원 경험을 당사자 관점에서 심층적으로 이해하고, 이 과정에서 체화되고 발현되는 독특한 삶의 기질을 아비투스 맥락에서 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 정신의료기관에 입원해 있는 조현병을 지닌 사람 15명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였으며, Strauss & Corbin(1998)의 근거이론 방법론을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 119개의 개념, 31개의 하위범주, 13개의 범주가 도출되었으며, <박탈된 자주성과 강요된 환자로서의 삶>이라는 중심현상을 기준으로 인과적 조건, 맥락적 조건, 중재적 조건, 작용ㆍ상호작용 전략, 결과의 패러다임 모형을 확인하였다. 과정분석을 통해 ‘삶의 권리 붕괴 단계’, ‘환경탐색 단계’, ‘자기 지키기 단계’, ‘굴레 회귀 단계’ 또는 ‘희망 유지 단계’라는 과정모형을 발견하였고, 최종적으로 ‘강요된 환자로서의 삶 속에서 환자답기와 희망갖기의 갈림길을 마주하는 과정’이라는 핵심범주를 발견하였다. 이러한 연구 결과들을 바탕으로 조현병을 지닌 사람에 대한 의료모델 중심 접근의 한계와 대안 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand in depth the hospitalization experience of people with schizophrenia from the perspective of the person concerned, and to examine the unique life temperament that is embodied and expressed in the process in the context of habitus. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 people with schizophrenia who were hospitalized in psychiatric institutions. For data collection and analysis, the grounded theory methodology of Strauss & Corbin (1998) was applied. As a result of the analysis, 119 concepts, 31 subcategories, and 13 categories were derived. The paradigm model of causal conditions, contextual conditions, interventional conditions, action/interaction strategies, and results were confirmed based on the central phenomenon of . Through process analysis, process models such as ‘the stage of collapse of the right to life’, ‘the stage of environmental exploration’, ‘the stage of self-preservation’, ‘the stage of return to bondage’ or ‘the stage of maintaining hope’ were found. Finally, a core category was found: ‘the process of facing the crossroads of being patient and having hope in life as a forced patient’. Based on these research results, limitations and alternatives to the medical model-centered approach to people with schizophrenia were suggested.
