국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 미술치료 초심 수퍼바이저가 숙련된 치료사에서 수퍼바이저로서의 역할전환 과정을 이해해보고자 미술치료 초심 수퍼바이저의 경험을 해석학적 현상학 방법으로 탐구하였다. 본 연구를 위해 총 4명의 미술치료 초심 수퍼바이저들의 면담을 통한 자료가 수집되었다. 수집된 자료들을 분석한 결과 총 4개의 본질적 주제들과 9개의 하위 주제들이 도출되었다. 연구결과의 본질적 주제들은 첫째 ‘새로운 제안, 낯선 역할을 받아들이다’, 둘째, ‘수퍼바이저라는 새로운 옷을 입다’ 셋째, ‘수퍼바이저라는 역할의 해답을 미술에서 찾다’, 넷째, ‘함께 성장해 나가다’ 이다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구의 결과가 미술치료학 분야에 던지는 중요한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 숙련된 치료사에서 수퍼바이저라는 역할전환 과정에서 정도의 차이는 있었지만 모두 어려움을 경험하였다. 둘째, 연구 참여자들은 수퍼바이지에게 양질의 수퍼비전을 제공하기 위한 최선의 노력을 기울였고, 이는 역할에 대한 ‘책임감’에서 비롯되었다. 셋째, 연구 참여자들은 미술을 통해 자신이 마주하고 있는 어려움을 객관적으로 바라보고 이해하게 되었으며 해결해 나갈 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of novice art therapy supervisors using hermeneutic phenomenological methods to understand the process of changing their roles from skilled therapists to supervisors. For this study, data were collected through interviewing with four novice art therapy supervisors. After analyzing collected data, 4 essential themes and 9 sub-themes were defined. The essential themes of the research results were “accepting new offers, unfamiliar roles,” “wearing new clothes called supervisors,” “finding answers to the role of supervisors in art,” and “grow together.” Based on this, the conclusion of the study was as follows: First, the study participants experienced difficulties, although there were differences in degree in the process of changing the role of a supervisor from a skilled therapist. Second, the study participants made the best effort to provide quality supervision for supervisees, which resulted from the ‘responsibility' of a supervisor. Third, the research participants objectively looked at and understood the difficulties they were facing through art and were able to solve them. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
