애착외상을 입은 아동의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 애착외상을 입은 아동의 미술치료 경험과 미술치료의 의미에 대해 탐구하였다. 연구 참여자는 초등학생 3학년 남아로 2019년 11월부터 2020년 11월까지 주 1회 60분씩 총 50회기에 걸쳐 미술치료를 실시하였다. 분석방법은 애착외상을 입은 아동이 애착을 회복하는 경험과 과정의 의미를 담아내기 위하여 내러티브 방법으로 탐구하였다. 본 연구의 애착외상을 입은 아동이 미술치료를 통해 풀어낸 경험 이야기는 ‘사라져가는 세계’, ‘살아남기 위한 전쟁’, ‘동굴에서 숙성된 번데기와 알’, ‘새롭게 태어나기’이다. 경험의 의미는 ‘고립된 자아’, ‘무질서한 혼돈의 세계’, ‘가족의 탄생 그리고 축복’, ‘다시 태어나는 의미’로 범주화하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 첫째, 자신을 충분히 담아주는 세계를 안전하고 보호받는 공간으로 표현하여 내적 표출을 경험하였다. 둘째, 환경에 대한 의사소통으로 타인을 수용할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 셋째, 창조적 재구성으로 손상된 애착 체계를 복구하여 심리적 재탄생에 기회를 제공하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored the experience of art therapy and its meaning of a child who suffered attachment trauma. The study participant was a boy in the third grade of elementary school. From November 2019 to November 2020, we conducted a total of 50 therapy sessions once a week for 60 minutes. The analysis used narrative inquiry method to process art therapy recovery for the child. This study supported he art therapy experience of children with attachment trauma in the following stories; ‘Disappearing world', ‘War to survive', ‘Pupae and eggs matured in caves' and 'Born again’. Additional supportive stories were ‘Isolated ego'. ‘chaotic world', ‘Family births and blessings', and ‘Meaning of rebirth'. The results of this study were summed up as follows: First, the child expressed deep emotions in a safe and protected space. Second, communication about the environment allowed the child to accept others. Lastly, art therapy provided an opportunity for psychological rebirth by restoring the damaged attachment system through creative reconstruction. Based on the result, the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions were discussed.
