난청학생의 수어, 구어, 문어에 대한 구조 관계

국문 초록

이 연구는 난청학생의 수어, 구어, 문어에 대한 구조 관계를 알아보기 위하여 조사연구로 수행되었다. 전국의 대학교에 재학중인 청각장애학생 중에서 본인이 난청이라고 인식하는 262명을 대상으로 자료처리하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 난청학생의 수어, 구어, 문어에 대한 상관관계는 영역별에 따라서 차별적 특성이 나타났다. 특히 수어와 구어는 부적 상관계수를 보이는 경향이 높았다. 둘째, 난청학생의 수어와 구어에 대한 인식은 상호간에 부적 관련성을 보였으나, 수어 및 구어 사용자는 모두 문어 사용의 필요성에 대하여 긍정적으로 인식한다. 다만, 수어 사용자의 문어 사용에 대한 인식은 개인차에 따라서 영향을 달리 받는다. 이 연구에서는 난청학생을 위한 문어 교육에서의 차별적 전략의 필요성에 대하여 제안하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a research study to investigate the structural relationship between sign language, spoken language and written language of students with hard of hearing. Data were processed on 262 deaf students who recognized themselves as hard of hearing among students enrolled in universities across the country. The research results were as follows. First, the correlation between sign language and written language of the students with hard of hearing showed discriminatory characteristics according to each domain. In particular, sign language and spoken language tended to show a negative correlation coefficient. Second, the perception of sign language and spoken language of students with hard of hearing showed a negative relationship with each other, but both sign language and spoken language users perceived the necessity of using written language positively. However, a sign language user's perception of the use of written language was affected differently according to individual differences. Therefore, this study suggests the need for a differential strategy in literacy education for students with hard of hearing.
