교과의 선험적 정당화

국문 초록

피터즈는 선험적 정당화를 통하여 지식의 형식의 가치는 그것을 논하는 논의의 논리적 가정으로 들어있다는 주장을 한다. 그러나 그의 정당화는 형식적 정당화이며, 선험적 요소를 포함하지 않는 선험적 정당화라는 비판을 받는다. 피터즈는 형이상학적 실재를 배제한 채 교과와 마음 간의 논리적 관련만으로 교과를 정당화하고자 하며 이와 같은 그의 문제의식은 ‘말할 수 있는 것’을 통하여 ‘말할 수 없는 것’을 전달하고자 한 비트겐슈타인의 문제의식과 유사성을 띤다. 비트겐슈타인이 「철학연구」에서 제시한 아이디어는 언어게임을 통하여 삶의 형식을 확립한다는 것이다. 피터즈가 비트겐슈타인의 철학으로부터 시사를 받는다면 그는 지식의 형식의 가치는 그것을 가르치고 배우는 교육활동에 의하여 정당화된다는 점을 말함으로써 선험적 정당화를 보완할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

According to Peters, the form of knowledge can be justificated by presupposition from the discourse about justification of form of knowledge itself. That is called transcendental justification which is named after Kant s transcendental philosophy. The point of transcendental philosophy consists in justification of form of knowledge only by logical relation between school subjects and mind without dependence on the metaphysical. The aim of Peters as such seems much likely as the one consistent question making Wittgenstein s early and late philosophy into one single idea : how is it possible to convey what cannot be said through what can be said . That is to say, Philosophical Investigations and Tractatus can be interpreted two different answers to the one question that this implies that what cannot be said can be shown by what cannot be said , meanwhile that implies that language game presents the form of life. What should be noted here on the answer from Philosophical Investigations is that the form of life is the idea that is not given to us arbitrarily and that is established in the course of our everyday life. This idea focusing on the temporal processes of educational practice can help Peters overcoming the weakness that his justification remains only just the formal justification without any contents.
