국문 초록

본 연구는 말 리듬 놀이에서 나타난 유아의 즐거움에 관한 탐색을 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 서울시 Y구에 위치한 H어린이집의 만 5세반 유아 14명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 2019년 3월 11일부터 5월 7일까지 9주간 주 2회 각 30분씩 진행된 말 리듬 놀이의 수업현장을 캠코더로 녹화, 녹음하였으며 녹화파일을 전사한 자료와 함께 교사 및 유아 면담일지, 수업관찰 메모노트와 교사의 말 리듬 놀이 계획안을 종합하여 질적 연구의 과정을 거쳤다. 연구결과, 말 리듬 놀이에서 나타난 유아의 즐거움은 ‘자기주도성의 발휘와 몰입, 성취로 부터의 즐거움’, ‘교사와 또래의 수용과 지지로 인한 즐거움’, ‘웃음과 유머를 타인과 함께 나누는 즐거움’, ‘말과 얼굴표정, 몸짓으로 표현하는 즐거움’으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 말 리듬 놀이가 유아 즐거움의 원천으로 작용하여 즐거운 교실 만들기를 위한 중요한 초석으로 작용될 수 있음을 시사해 주는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the joy of preschoolers in speech rhythm play. To achieve the purpose of this study, 14 preschoolers who were in a class of five-year-old in a daycare center located in a district of Seoul were selected as the subjects in this study. Speech rhythm play classes were given during a nine-week period of time from March 11 through May 7, 2019, twice a week, 30 minutes each, and the classes were recorded with a camcorder. A qualitative research was implemented by piecing together the transcribed data of the recording files, interview journals with the preschoolers and their teacher, instructional observation notes and the teacher s speech rhythm play lesson plans. As a result, the joy that the preschoolers experienced during the speech rhythm play was categorized into four: “joy from the demonstration of self-directedness, flow and achievement,” “oy from acceptance and support by the teacher and peers,” “joy of sharing laugh and humor with others,” and “joy expressed in words, facial expressions and gestures.” These findings of the study suggest that speech rhythm play could lay the major foundation for the creation of a joyful classroom as the source of the joy of preschoolers.
