국문 초록

본 연구는 아버지가 지각하는 부모역할지능이 자녀 훈육방식에 미치는 영향은 어떠하며, 부모역할지능의 상위 집단과 하위 집단에 따른 훈육방식의 차이를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. D시의 유치원 및 어린이집에 다니는 만4세 유아의 아버지를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 총 210부의 자료를 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 또한 부모역할지능의 상위와 하위집단을 각각 30%로 나누어, 각각의 훈육방식의 차이를 검증하기 위해 t-검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 아버지의 부모역할지능 중에서 거부와 관리 통제는 훈육방식의 강압적 체벌과 방임에게 부정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 부모역할지능 중에서 수용은 훈육방식의 논리적 설득에 긍정적 상관관계를 나타내었다. 또한 아버지의 부모역할지능 중 거부와 관리통제는 훈육방식의 강압적 체벌과 방임을, 부모역할지능 중 수용과 관리통제는 훈육방식의 논리적 설득을 유의미하게 설명하는 예측변인이었다. 두 번째로, 아버지의 부모역할지능의 상하집단의 차이가 유의미하게 나타났으며, 상집단이 하집단보다 논리적 설득이 더 높게 나타났고, 하집단은 상집단에 비해 강압적 체벌과 방임이 높은 결과가 나타나는 차이를 보였다. 그러므로 아버지들의 바람직한 훈육방식을 갖도록 부모역할지능을 발달시키는 실제적인 방안을 모색하여야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of parental intelligence perceived by fathers on their disciplinary style. The data was collected from 210 fathers of four-year-old children who were attending kindergartens or child care centers in a D city. Data were analyzed by a correlation analysis and regression analysis. The t-test was used to verify the difference of parental disciplinary style by dividing upper and lower parental intelligence groups into 30%. The findings are as follows: 1) the rejection and the management control among the parental intelligence had the negative correlation with the forceful punishment and the neglect disciplinary style. Acceptance in parental intelligence showed a positive correlation with the logical persuasion of parental disciplinary style. In addition, the rejection and the management control in parental intelligence were significant variables on the punishment and the neglection of parental disciplinary style. Moreover, the management control of parental intelligence was a predictive variable to explain relation to the logical persuasion. 2) It was revealed that there were significant differences between the upper parental intelligence group and the lower group in the scores of parental intelligence. Data also showed that the upper parental intelligence group had higher scores in logical persuasion than lower group. However the lower parental intelligence group showed higher scores in the forceful punishment and the neglect discipline style.
