한ㆍ중 활음의 포먼트에 대한 연구

국문 초록

일반적으로 외국어를 학습할 때 학습자의 모국어의 언어적인 특징은 학습하는 언어에 영향을 준다. 중국인이 한국어를 배울 때, 한국인이 중국어를 배울 때에도 이러한 면이 나타난다. 중국인 학습자는 한국어를 배울 때 활음을 단모음으로 발음하는 경향을 보인다. 또 한국인 학습자는 중국어의 1음절을 2음절로 발음하기도 하며, 한국인의 중국어 이중모음의 발음은 중국인에게는 촉급하게 들리기도 한다. 이런 현상들은 모두 활음과 연관된다. 이 글에서는 한국어와 중국어의 활음을 포먼트를 통해 분석ㆍ대조하였다. 활음은 안정된 조음 위치가 없기 때문에 활음의 특성은 전이구간에서 나타나는 포먼트의 변화를 통해 구체적으로 분석할 수 있다. 전이구간의 F₁, F₂값의 변화를 통해 활음을 발음할 때 개구도와 혀의 움직임의 변화를 살펴볼 수 있기 때문이다. 활음의 길이와 F₁, F₂값과 기울기 등을 통해 한국어와 중국어의 활음을 대조하였고, 특히 유사한 이중모음에서 나타나는 활음의 공통점과 차이점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

When learning a foreign language, the linguistic features of the learner s native tongue affect the language he or she learns. This is what happens when Chinese people learn Korean and when Koreans learn Chinese. Chinese learners tend to pronounce a glide like a single vowel when they learn Korean. In addition, Korean learners pronounce one Chinese syllable as two syllables, and the pronunciation of Korean Chinese diphthongs sounds urgent to the Chinese. These phenomena are all related to the glides. In this article, the glides of Korean and Chinese language are analyzed and contrasted by means of formants. Because glides have no stable articulatory position, the characteristics of glides can be analyzed in detail through values of formants appearing in the transition section. The changes in the F1 and F2 values of the transition section mean changes in the movement of the tongue and the aperture when pronounced. The Korean and Chinese glides are contrasted through the length of the glides and the F1, F2 values and the formant slope, and the similarities and differences of the glides of similar diphthongs are presented.
