국문 초록

이 논문은 대통령 신년사를 중심으로 어휘 사용과 언어표현 전략을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 대통령의 어휘 사용 양상은 대통령별로 그 시대의 정치적, 경제적 상황에 따라 다양하게 나타났다. 대통령의 역할 인식을 1인칭 대명사를 중심으로 분석하였다. 대통령의 역할 인식은 권위적이고 절대적인 위치를 나타내는 ‘나, 본인’에서 국민과 같이 협력하여 나라를 운영하는 상호 협력적 관계를 표현하기 위해 ‘저’로 바뀌었다. 내용에 대한 언어적 분석 과정에서 대통령 또는 정부가 지난해 추진한 정책이나 경제, 민생문제에 대한 비난을 받았을 때 비난에 대한 수용 또는 자기반성적 행위를 하는 것이 아니라 그 책임을 타인에게 돌리려고 하는 책임 회피 전략을 주로 사용하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine the use of vocabulary and strategies for language expression, focusing on the President s New Year s Address. The president s vocabulary usage patterns varied according to the political and economic situation of each time of the president. In this paper, we analyzed the role perception of the president based on the first person noun. The role perception of the President changed from Na, Bonin which represents an authoritative and absolute position to Jeo which expresses the mutual cooperational relationship in which the president manage the country in cooperation with people of the nation. In the process of linguistic analysis of contents, when the President or the government is criticized for the policy, economic or livelihood problems promoted in the previoius year, it did not accept accusation or do an introspective behavior, but mostly used responsibility avoidance strategy.
