자율주행차 도로교통법 준수평가를 위한 정량적 평가체계 개발 및 적용성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자율주행차의 도로교통법 준수여부를 평가할 수 있는 정량적 평가기준, 평가지표, 점수기준 등을 개발하여 자율주행차의 법적 준수능력과 운전능력을 종합적으로 평가할 수 있는 정량적 평가체계를 구축하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 통해 자율주행차가 실제 도로환경에서 법적 요구사항을 준수하는지 평가할 수 있는 신뢰성 있는 기준을 제시하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도로교통법을 기반으로 자율주행차의 평가항목을 도출하고 각 항목에 대해 정량적 평가지표와 점수기준을 개발하였다. 이후 실도로 환경을 반영한 가상환경에서 판교제로시티를 평가구간으로 설정하고, SILS 시뮬레이션 환경을 활용하여 다양한 교통상황과 주행조건을 가상으로 구현하고, 자율주행차의 주행 성능을 평가하였다. 실도로 기반 평가결과, 자율주행차는 차로변경금지구간에서 위반, 정지선 미준수, 안전거리 미확보 등에서 감점을 받았으며, 보행자 보호 의무 미준수로 인해 실격 처리되었다. 평가항목별로 자율주행차가 도로교통법을 준수하는 정도를 정확하고 신뢰성 있게 평가할 수 있는 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 평가체계는 자율주행차의 법적 준수여부를 평가할 수 있는 중요한 기준을 마련하였다. 자율주행차의 도로교통법 준수능력을 더욱 정량화하고 실도로 환경에서의 평가기준을 확립함으로써 향후 자율주행차의 상용화에 필요한 법적 준수기준을 보다 명확히 하고 자율주행차 개발에 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop quantitative evaluation criteria, indicators, and scoring standards that can assess the compliance of autonomous vehicles with traffic laws, establishing a comprehensive quantitative evaluation system to evaluate both their legal compliance and driving abilities. Through this, the study aims to propose reliable standards for evaluating whether autonomous vehicles comply with legal requirements in real-world road environments. To achieve this, the study derives evaluation criteria for autonomous vehicles based on traffic laws and develops quantitative evaluation indicators and scoring standards for each item. Subsequently, a virtual environment reflecting real-world road conditions is set up, using the Pangyo Zero City as the evaluation area, and various traffic situations and driving conditions are simulated in the SILS simulation environment to evaluate the driving performance of autonomous vehicles. Based on real-world evaluation, the autonomous vehicle received deductions for violations in no-lane-change zones, failure to comply with stop lines, and failure to maintain safe distances, and was disqualified for failing to protect pedestrians. The evaluation results provided a reliable and accurate assessment of the degree to which autonomous vehicles comply with traffic laws, based on the individual evaluation criteria. The evaluation system presented in this study has established important standards for assessing the legal compliance of autonomous vehicles. By further quantifying the legal compliance capabilities of autonomous vehicles and establishing evaluation criteria for real-world environments, this study is expected to clarify the legal compliance standards necessary for the commercialization of autonomous vehicles and provide essential foundational data for their development.
