기초안전보건교육이 고령근로자의 안전의식과 불안전행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구는 건설업 근로자 중 고령근로자를 대상으로 건설업 기초안전보건교육이 안전의식과 불안전행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 함으로써 건설업 고령근로자에게 적합한 안전교육과 체계적인 관리방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 방법 : 본 연구의 대상은 부산·경남 소재의 건설업계 종사자 중 건설업 기초안전보건교육에 참가한 고령근로자 181명이었다. 이들을 대상으로 사전검사와 사후검사를 실시하여 대응표본 t-검정을 실시하였고, 불안전행동에 대한 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 안전의식의 매개효과에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 첫째, 기초안전보건교육은 고령근로자의 안전의식을 전반적으로 향상시켰고 불안전행동을 전반적으로 감소시켰다. 둘째, 기초안전보건교육은 고령근로자의 안전의식과 불안전행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 고령근로자의 안전의식은 기초안전보건교육과 불안전행동을 부적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 건설업 기초안전보건교육은 고령근로자의 안전의식을 향상시키고, 불안전 행동의 감소시키는데 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 건설업현장에서의 고령근로자의 안전사고예방을 위하여 이들을 대상으로 하는 기초안전보건교육이 지속적으로 실시되어야하고 강화되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objective : By analyzing the impact of basic safety and health education in the construction industry on safety awareness and unsafe behavior among elderly workers in the construction industry, this study attempted to present implications for safety education and systematic management measures suitable for elderly workers in the construction industry. Method : The subjects of this study were 301 elderly workers who participated in basic safety and health education in the construction industry among those in the construction industry located in Busan and Gyeongnam. A paired t-test was conducted on pre-test and a post-test on them, and multiple regression analysis was conducted on unsafe behavior, and the mediating effect of safety consciousness was analyzed. Results : First, basic safety and health education improved the overall safety consciousness of elderly workers and reduced anxiety behavior overall. Second, basic safety and health education was found to have a significant effect on safety consciousness and anxiety behavior of elderly workers. Third, it was found that the safety consciousness of elderly workers negatively mediated basic safety and health education and anxiety behavior. Conclusion : Basic safety and health education in the construction industry was found to have a significant effect on improving the safety consciousness of elderly workers and reducing unsafe behavior. As a result of this, basic safety and health education for elderly workers should be continuously conducted and strengthened to prevent safety accidents at construction sites.
