고위험 분만 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향 및 자기효능감에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 고위험 분만 시뮬레이션 교육을 실시한 후 이 교육이 비판적 사고 성향과 자기효능감에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 시행된 단일군 사전 사후 설계 연구이다. 연구의 대상은 S시 소재 일개 대학교 간호학과 4학년 학생들이며, 통합역할 시뮬레이션 교과목의 산과 환자 간호 모듈에서 총 8시간의 고위험 분만 시뮬레이션 교육을 진행하였다. 자료 수집은 2023년 10월부터 12월까지 설문지를 통해 이루어졌으며, 자료분석에 사용된 대상자는 47명이었다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0 version 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준 편차, paired t-test, independent t-test, Pearson 상관계수를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 일반적 특성에 따른 시뮬레이션 교육 전 비판적 사고 성향과 자기효능감의 차이를 분석한 결과는 전공에 만족한다고 응답한 학생들이 그렇지 않은 학생들보다 비판적 사고 성향(t=4.991, p<.05)과 자기효능감(t=14.201, p<.001)이 유의미하게 높았다. 시뮬레이션 교육 전후 비교에서 비판적 사고 성향(t=-4.532, p<.001)과 자기효능감(t=-4.695, p<.001)이 모두 유의미하게 향상되었고, 두 변수 간에는 강한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다(r=.781, p<.001). 본 연구의 결과 고위험 분만 시나리오 기반 시뮬레이션 교육이 임상실습의 한계점을 보완하는데 효과적임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 현재 임상실습에서 발생하는 여러 가지 문제를 해결하고, 학생들이 임상 간호에서 요구되는 역량을 강화하기 위한 전략으로 고위험 분만 시뮬레이션 교육을 적용할 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 이 과정에서 학습자가 경험한 학습이 실제 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 체계적인 시뮬레이션 교수학습 전략이 필요함을 제언한다.

영문 초록

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of high-risk childbirth simulation education on critical thinking disposition and self efficacy in nursing students. This study utilized a pre-post design with a single group to assess the impact of high-risk childbirth simulation education on nursing students' critical thinking disposition and self-efficacy. The research involved senior nursing students at a university located in S city, who participated in an 8-hour high-risk delivery practice simulation education as part of the integrated role simulation course's maternal nursing module. Data were collected from October to December 2023 through surveys, and the analysis included 47 participants. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program, employing frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, independent t-test, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The analysis of the difference in critical thinking disposition and self-efficacy before the simulation education based on general characteristics showed that students who were satisfied with their major had significantly higher critical thinking disposition (t=4.991, p<.05) and self-efficacy (t=14.201, p<.001) compared to those who were not. Comparing the scores before and after the simulation education, both critical thinking disposition (t=-4.532, p<.001) and self-efficacy (t=-4.695, p<.001) showed significant improvement, and there was a strong correlation between the two variables (r=.781, p<.001). The results of this study confirm that high-risk childbirth scenario-based simulation education is effective in addressing the limitations of current clinical practice. It suggests that high-risk childbirth simulation education can be applied as a strategy to solve various issues faced in clinical practice and to enhance the competencies required for nursing students in clinical settings. Moreover, to ensure that the learning experience translates into actual outcomes, a systematic simulation teaching and learning strategy is needed.
