국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구의 목적은 장애청소년의 장애수용이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를확인하기 위함이다. 연구방법 장애통계데이터포털(KODDI: Korea’s Disabled People’s Development Institute)에서 실시한 장애인삶 패널조사 4차 데이터를 분석하였다. 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 유의한 차이가 있었던 일반적 특성을 공변량으로 투입하여 SPSS MACRO로 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 장애청소년의 장애수용이 높을수록 삶의 만족도가 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 장애청소년의 장애수용과 자아존중감이 삶의 만족도에 모두 유의미한 요인이었다. 즉, 자아존중감이 부분매개효과를 가짐을 확인하였다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 장애청소년의 삶의 만족도를 향상시키기 위해 장애수용도와 자아존중감을 강화하는 전략의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between acceptance of disability and life satisfaction of adolescents with disabilities. Method This study used the 4th Panel Survey on Life of the Disabled conducted by Korea’s Disabled People’s Development Institute (KODDI). To identify the mediating effect, general characteristics showing significant differences were treated as covariates and analyzed using SPSS MACRO. Results First, the higher the disability acceptance of adolescents with disabilities, the more significantly their life satisfaction improved. Second, the disability acceptance and self-esteem of adolescents with disabilities were both significant factors in life satisfaction. In other words, it was confirmed that self-esteem had a partial mediating effect. Conclusion Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop and apply strategies to strengthen disability acceptance and self-esteem in order to improve the life satisfaction of adolescents with disabilities.
