어린이집 원장의 지속가능발전교육 실천에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 원장들의 지속가능발전교육 실천에 대한 인식 조사결과를 토대로 보육현장에서 지속가능발전교육 실천을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 개선 방안을 모색함에 있다. 충청지역의 어린이집 원장 230명을 표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과 224부가 회수되었으나 자료처리에 부적합한 7부를 제외하고 217부를 대상으로 최종분석하였다. 설문지는 연구자가 이론적 배경을 참조하여 직접 제작한 『어린이집 원장의 지속가능발전교육 실천에 대한 인식 조사지』이다. 어린이집 원장들의 지속가능발전교육 실천에 대한 인식의 전반적인 경향을 알아보기 위해 빈도와 평균점수를 산출하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 어린이집 원장들은 매체나 보수교육을 통해서 지속가능발전이라는 용어를 처음 접하였지만 지속가능발전교육에 대한 인식수준은 매우 높았다. 어린이집에서는 지속가능발전교육 프로그램을 실시할 때 교사들의 의견을 최대한 존중해서 교육내용과 주제를 선정하고 있었다. 둘째, 어린이집 원장들은 지속가능발전교육과 관련된 보육프로그램을 계획, 다양한 체험활동 운영, 부모 및 지역사회와의 협력 등 실천의지가 강하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 보수교육의 제도적인 개선과 함께 심층면접을 통한 조사와 질적 분석이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to seek improvement measures to effectively support the practice of sustainable development education in childcare settings based on the results of a survey on the awareness of daycare center directors on the practice of sustainable development education. A survey was conducted by sampling 230 daycare center directors in the Chungcheong region. As a result of the survey, 224 copies were collected, but 7 copies were excluded as they were not suitable for data processing, and 217 copies were used for the final analysis. The questionnaire was created by the researcher with reference to the theoretical background, and is the 'Survey on the Perception of Sustainable Development Education Practices of Daycare Center Directors'. In order to find out the general trend of the perception of the daycare center directors on sustainable development education practices, the frequency and average score were calculated. The results of the study are as follows. First, although the current daycare directors first encountered the term sustainable development through the media or continuing education, their level of awareness of sustainable development education was very high. When implementing sustainable development education programs, daycare centers selected educational content and topics with the utmost respect for teachers’ opinions. Second, daycare directors had a strong will to practice, such as planning childcare programs related to sustainable development education, operating various experiential activities, and cooperating with parents and the local community. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested that institutional improvements in continuing education, as well as investigations through in-depth interviews and qualitative analysis, are necessary.
