국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 지역아동센터 아동의 스마트폰 중독과 학교적응의 관계에서 학업열의의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2020년 한국청소년정책연구원의 지역아동센터 아동패널조사 3차 자료 중 485명의 응답을 SPSS 25.0, Process Macro v4.2의 Model 4를 활용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 지역아동센터 아동의 스마트폰 중독은 학교적응에 부(-)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역아동센터 아동의 스마트폰 중독은 학업열의에 부(-)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지역아동센터 아동의 학업열의는 학교적응에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 지역아동센터 아동의 학업열의는 스마트폰 중독이 학교적응에 미치는 영향을 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 근거로 스마트폰 중독 예방을 위한 디지털 디톡스, 대안활동, 학업열의 고취를 위한 상담, 학교적응 프로그램 개발 등 실천적이고 정책적인 측면의 대안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of academic enthusiasm on the relationship between smartphone addiction and school adjustment among children in community child centers. To achieve this, we analyzed responses from 485 participants using data from the third wave of the Community Child Center Children Panel Survey conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute in 2020, utilizing SPSS 25.0 and Process Macro v4.2 Model 4 for mediation analysis. The analysis revealed that, first, smartphone addiction among children in community child centers negatively affects school adjustment. Second, smartphone addiction also has a negative impact on academic enthusiasm. Third, academic enthusiasm positively influences school adjustment. Fourth, academic enthusiasm partially mediates the effect of smartphone addiction on school adjustment. Based on these findings, we propose practical and policy-oriented solutions, including digital detox programs, alternative activities, counseling to enhance academic enthusiasm, and the development of school adjustment programs to prevent smartphone addiction.
