『三國史記』 高句麗本紀에 보이는 修辭的 표현과 사료 구성

국문 초록

본고에서는 『삼국사기』 고구려본기에 보이는 修辭的 표현을 추출 및 그 의미와 연원을 살피고, 그에 기초해 고구려본기에 나타나는 단층에 주목해 사료적 성격을 검토했다. 고구려본기에는 古典을 인용한 수사적 표현들이 빈번하게 확인되고 있는데, 다만 烽上王條까지만 나타나고 美川王條부터는 중국사료를 轉載한 소수의 경우를 제외하고 확인되지 않는다. 즉, 수사적 표현을 기준으로, 고구려본기는 東明王條 ; 琉璃王條~烽上王條 ; 美川王條 이후로 구분된다. 동명왕조는 고구려 당대 및 그 후대에 걸쳐 지속적으로 변형되었을 것이므로 차치하고라도, 봉상왕조를 기준으로, 전후 역사 서술 형태가 달리 나타난다는 것이다. 이 같은 역사 서술의 단층에 대해, 본고에서는 서로 다른 형태의 역사서가 접합되면서 나타난 현상으로 추정했다. 즉 전기 역사서는 紀傳體를 모방한 인물 중심의 서술이었으나, 중기 이후부터 사건중심의 編年體 혹은 紀事本末體로 서술되었는데, 이 두 종의 사서를 접합해 고구려본기가 편찬되었다는 것이다. 한편, 전기의 역사서는 미천왕시기 상당한 한문 소양을 갖춘 漢人에 의해 찬술되었을 가능성을 제시하고, 혹 『留記』와 연관이 있을 것으로 보았다. 그리고 적어도 『新集』에서 『留記』 축약본과 중기 이래의 역사 자료를 접합해 고구려사를 구성했고, 그것이 고구려본기의 ‘原典’이 되었던 것 같다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we sorts out the rhetoric in the historical records of Samguksagi(三國史記) Goguryeo bongi(高句麗本紀) and discusses its semantics and origins. Based on this, we pay attention to the historical record fault phenomenon of the Goguryeo period, and then analyze the structure of historical record. The rhetoric quoted from the classical literature frequently appeared in the Goguryeo bongi(高句麗本紀), but it was only seen before the King Bong-sang(烽上王) period. But since the King Mi-cheon(美川王) period, there was no rhetoric in the article except for a few references to Chinese historical materials. That is to say, according to the rhetoric, the Goguryeo bongi(高句麗本紀) can be divided into the King Dong-myung(東明王) ; the King You-ri(琉璃王)~King Bong-sang(烽上王) ; after the King Mi-cheon(美川王). The article of King Dong-myung(東明王) was added, deleted and adapted several times by Goguryeo contemporary and its descendants, so we can put on hold for the time being. As the article of King Bong-sang(烽上王) to boundary, its historical narratives are different. Regarding the fault phenomenon in this historical narrative, this paper believes that it is the reason that different types of history books are combined. That is to say, early historical records were compiled in imitation of biographical style and centered on characters. And the historical records in the middle and later periods are chronological style, which is centered on events. And Goguryeo bongi(高句麗本紀) is a patchwork of the two historical records. In addition, the early historical records was written by the Chinese who had the literacy of the Han culture, and it’s may be related to the Yougi(留記). And at least the Sinjip(新集) combines the summary of the Yougi(留記) with the historical data accumulated since the middle period to construct the history of Goguryeo and it’s becomes the original text of the Samguksagi(三國史記) Goguryeo bongi(高句麗本紀).
