국문 초록

최근 전 세계적인 경제 불확실성이 높아짐과 함께 미국 주도의 집중적 중국 견제 또한 심화되자 이미 제조업 중심의 성장이 한계에 다다른 중국은 새로운 돌파구를 찾을 수밖에 없게 되었다. 그 돌파구 가운데 하나가 문화산업의 집중적인 육성이었고, 그것은 중국 정부의 여러 발표들을 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 중국의 문화와 문화산업에 대한 올바른 이해를 통해 시사점을 찾고자, 중국의 문화와 관련 산업에 대한 인식 변화, 중국 문화산업의 주요 분류 및 특성, 정책의 주요 기조 등을 연구대상으로 하여 면밀히 분석하였다. 분석의 결과 얻은 가장 중요한 시사점은, 중국 정부가 자신들이 원하는 경쟁력을 갖춘 문화산업의 안정적 성장이라는 목표를 달성하기 위해서는, 문화 및 문화산업에 대한 정책의 방향을 현재의 규제와 통제 중심의 정책으로부터, 자율적인 진흥 중심의 정책으로 적극적으로 전환해야만 한다는 것이다.

영문 초록

China achieved rapid economic growth and grew into the world‘s second-largest economy within a short period of time. The achievements in a short period of time aroused praise and awe from all over the world, but there were many problems behind them such as imbalance in regional development and industrial structure. Accordingly, the Chinese government has been trying to resolve this imbalance through a series of adjustment policies since the 2000s, but has not made significant progress. Moreover, manufacturing-oriented growth has reached its limits, global economic uncertainty has increased, and the US-led intensive check on China has also intensified, leaving China with no choice but to find a new breakthrough. One of the breakthroughs was the intensive fostering of the cultural industry, which can be confirmed through various announcements by the Chinese government. Given these circumstances, this study attempted to find implications through a proper understanding of China‘s culture and cultural industry. Therefore, changes in perception of culture and related industries, major classifications and characteristics of Chinese cultural industries, and major policy trends in China were closely analyzed. The most important implication obtained as a result of the analysis is that, in order for the Chinese government to achieve its goal of stable growth of the cultural industry with competitiveness, it must change the direction of its policy on culture and cultural industries from the current regulation-oriented policy to an autonomous promotion-oriented policy.
