고대 중국인의 질병 발생의 원인 고찰

국문 초록

『說文解字』卷七下 「疒」」부에 나타난 질병과 관련 있는 글자는 모두 103개 글자로 다수가 질병과 유관한 글자로 “고대 중국인의 질병 발생의 근본 원인과 질병관, 질병의 종류와 증상, 질병의 쾌유”에 대하여 기술하고 있다. 본 연구는 『說文解字』「疒」부에서 22개의 글자를 통해 ‘고대 중국인의 질병 발생의 원인’을 6가지로 나누어서 기술하였다. 첫째, 氣의 과다로 인한 질병. 둘째, 외상으로 인한 질병. 셋째, 악물 오용으로 인한 질병. 넷째, 역병으로 인한 질병. 다섯째, 과로로 인한 질병. 여섯째로 선천적인 장애로 인한 질병으로 『說文解字』의 「疒」부의 글자들을 통해 고대 중국인의 질병 발생의 원인을 살펴보았다. 그 외 『說文解字』에서 기술된 뜻을 좀 더 명확하게 서술하고자 출토문자들과 대조해 보고, 방증으로 중국 고대 자서와 의학에 관한 문헌을 참고하여 “고대 중국인의 질병 발생의 원인”을 탐구하며 전개하였다.

영문 초록

『ShuoWenJieZi』 is a dictionary of characters from the Eastern Han Dynasty and before, with a wide range of characters collected. In 高明‘s 「New Evaluation of ShuoWenJieZi」, he appraised 『ShuoWenJieZi』 as fourteen. Among them, the 10th value is “The history of ancestors collected by 『ShuoWenJieZi』” and the 12th value is “『ShuoWenJieZi』 provides a variety of materials”. That is, 『ShuoWenJieZi』 not only contains the interpretation of the words, but also contains the ideas and cultural characteristics of the people at that time. From this point of view, the author finds that there are quite a lot of words about diseases in 『ShuoWenJieZi』 written by 许慎 in the Eastern Han Dynasty. According to a traditional Chinese medicine expert, 許敬生 counted about 400 words related to pathology in 『ShuoWenJieZi』 and 103 words related to disease appeared in the Volume7, Part2 「疒」 radical of 『ShuoWenJieZi』. After analyzing them, he concluded that there are eight causes of diseases in ancient China. For example, first, too much gas, second, injury, third, misuse of drugs, fourth, disease caused by poor food consumption fifth, plague, sixth, exhausted, seventh, diseases of the birth. In order to further understand the meaning of these characters, after comparing with the excavated text before the publication of 『ShuoWenJieZi』, and then, using the Chinese ancient calligraphy and medical literature as circumvention evidence, finally explore the “causes of the occurrence of diseases in ancient China”. However, did not appear in the 『ShuoWenJieZi』 「疒」 radical, the other words that mention disease in the radical are also reviewed, so as to supplement the reasons for the diseases in ancient China.
