한국사 디지털 자료의 활용 현황과 과제

국문 초록

이 글에서는 한국사 디지털 자료의 활용 현황과 과제라는 주제를 중심으로 몇 가지 사항을 검토해 보았다. 한국사 자료에 국한해서 현재까지 디지털 자료화의 推移와 활용 現況을 살펴보고, 史學史的 관점에서 디지털 자료화의 확장을 위해 提言해 보았다. 먼저, 한국사 자료를 디지털화하는데 기존의 역사연구는 어떠한 역할을 할 수 있었으며, 그것이 갖는 史學史的 의미는 무엇인지를 다루었다. 다음으로, 한국사 디지털 자료의 활용 現況을 확인해 보기 위해서 현재까지 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공하고 있는 국사편찬위원회의 한국사 데이터베이스 관련 내용을 활용하여 분석해 보았다. 그 내용은 크게 시대별 일람과 형태별 일람으로 나누어 살펴보았으며, 이를 통해서 기존의 한국사 데이터베이스 자료를 최대한 확장하고 있으며, 또한 문헌 자료보다는 비문헌 자료의 확대 현상을 엿볼 수 있었다. 다음으로, 한국사 디지털 자료의 확장을 위한 提言으로써 기존의 연구 성과를 충분히 검토하면서 새로운 해법 모색이 필요함을 제기해 보았다. 그 가운데 전산화된 역사 정보를 바탕으로 한 ‘역사 전자지도’ 분야나, 한국 古典籍 전산화를 통한 고전 문집 시스템의 개발 전략이나, 디지털 자료를 컴퓨터의 도움으로 활용하는 빅데이터 작업이나, 시각 자료나 미디어 자료를 통한 문헌 자료의 공백을 보완하려는 시도 등이 있음을 살펴보았다. 이에 더하여 필자는 『삼국사기』와 『삼국유사』 등을 중심으로 한 古文獻의 이미지 자료 활용 문제, 곧, ‘板本書誌學’을 하나의 대안으로 제시해 보았다.

영문 초록

In this article, we reviewed several issues focusing on the current situation and assignment of using Korean history digital materials. In particular, limited to Korean history materials, we examined the current use and use of digital materials, as well as research for new expansion, from a historical perspective. First, we discussed what role existing historical research could play in digitizing Korean history materials and what its historical significance was. Next, in order to check the current state of utilization of Korean history digital materials, we used and analyzed the contents of the Korean history database of the National Institute of Korean History, which provides a variety of contents to date. The contents were largely examined through lists by era and type, which expanded the existing Korean history database data as much as possible, and also gave a glimpse of the expansion of non-literary data rather than literary data. Next, as a starting point for the expansion of digital materials on Korean history, we sufficiently reviewed existing research results and raised the need to find new solutions. Among them, the field of ‘History electronic maps’ based on computerized historical information, the development strategy of the classic anthology system through computerization of Korean ancient texts, big data work using digital materials with the help of computers, visual materials and media. We observed that there are attempts to supplement the gaps in literature through data. In addition, the writer attempted to address the issue of utilizing image data from old texts centered on 『Samguksagi』 and 『Samgukyusa』, namely, ‘Edition bibliography 板本書誌學’ as an alternative.
