국문 초록

본 연구는 사범대학 미술교육과의 미학 수업 과정에서 부각 된 ‘재현’ 문제를 탐구하는 과정을 통해 진행한 실행 연구이다. 외형의 모방과 재현에 집중된 실기 교육 과정과 이에 질문하지 않는 이론 교육 과정은 학생들이 미술의 더 깊은 영역으로 들어가지 못하고 졸업 후 미술교육자로서 비슷한 방식의 교육을 반복하는 주된 요인을 제공하는 것이 아닐까? 이 질문을 토대로 본 연구를 통해 탐구하고자 하는 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미학의 역사에서 중요하게 다루어진 ‘재현’ 개념이 미술 교사 양성 과정을 비판적으로 성찰하는 데에 어떠한 역할을 할 수 있는가? 둘째, 미술 교사 양성 과정에서 사물과 사건의 본질을 파악하고 이를 표현하는 미술의 의미를 이해하고 실행하는 역량을 키울 수 있는 방법은 무엇인가? 본 연구는 위의 문제를 학생들의 미학 이론 발제와 토론을 자화상 감상 비평 및 창작 과정과 연결하여 이론과 실기가 순환되는 방식으로 탐구했다.

영문 초록

This study is an action research conducted through the process of exploring the issue of ‘representation’ that emerged during an aesthetics class in the art education department of a college of education. The problem of representation based on the premise of 'imitation of appearance' began to be recognized prominently in students' own practical work and understanding of art expressions, and the practical education process focused on methods of imitation and representation led to a deeper area of art. We ask whether this is one of the main reasons why students fail to enter the field and repeat similar methods of education as art educators after graduation. The issues we want to look at through this study are as follows. First, what role can the concept of ‘representation’, an important issue in the history of aesthetics, play in critically reflecting on the current art teacher training process? Second, in the art teacher training process, how can we develop the ability to grasp the essence of objects and events and understand and practice the meaning of art that expresses them? This study explored the above problem in a way that theory and practice circulated by connecting students' aesthetic theory presentations and discussions with the self-portrait creation process.
