국문 초록

본 연구는 미술 교육 현장에서 생성 인공지능을 활용한 수업을 설계, 실행하는 과정을 통해 학생과 교사의 경험을 탐색하는 실행 연구(action research)이며, 이미지 생성 인공지능(Text to image generative AI)모델이 미술 교육에 미칠 수 있는 잠재력과 교육적 함의를 발견하고, 이를 교육 공동체와 공유하고 소통하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구 방법은 밀스(Mills)의 변증법적 나선형 모델을 적용하며, 미술 수업 과정과 학생 및 교사의 경험을 집중적으로 조사하며, 교사와의 상호작용, 수업자료, 참여 관찰, 수업 결과물, 학생과의 면담 등 다양한 자료를 통해 깊이 있는 분석을 진행한다. 그 결과 생성 인공지능을 활용한 미술 수업이 학생들의 실험적 태도를 함양하고, 프레임을 깨는 창의적 사고를 유연하게 하는데 기여할 수 있다는 사실을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 생성 인공지능 발전 초기 단계에서 그 교육적 가치를 탐구하고, 연구 결과를 반성적으로 공유하는 실행 연구로서의 의의를 가지고 있다.

영문 초록

This study is an action research conducted in the field of art education, focusing on the design and implementation of lessons utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI). It aims to explore the experiences of students and teachers and to discover the potential and educational implications of the text-to-image generative AI model for art education. The goal is to share and communicate these findings with the educational community. The research method applies Mills's dialectical spiral model, intensively investigating the art instruction process and the experiences of students and teachers. Through various data sources such as interactions with teachers, instructional materials, participant observations, class outputs, and interviews with students, an in-depth analysis is conducted. The findings suggest that art lessons using generative AI can cultivate an experimental attitude in students and promote flexible, creative thinking that breaks conventional frames. This research holds significance as an action research that explores the educational value of generative AI in its early stages of development and reflects upon and shares its outcomes.
