읽기이해부진아동의 복합어에서 형태소 처리 특성

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등 고학년 읽기이해부진아동의 내재적인 형태소 처리 양상을 살펴보고자 함에 있다. 연구 대상은 초등 4～6학년 읽기이해부진아동 16명과 또래 일반아동 16명이었다. 모든 아동들은 점화단어 이후 제시된 복합어 목표단어를 보고 단어 여부를 판단하는 어휘판단과제를 수행하였다. 이때 점화조건은 목표단어와 형태소중복조건, 목표단어와 표기중복조건, 목표단어와 무관련 조건의 3가지 조건이었다. 아동의 수행으로서 어휘판단 정확도와 판단 반응시간을 실시간으로 측정하였다. 연구 결과 어휘판단 정확도에서 읽기이해부진아동은 일반아동과 비교하여 점화조건에 수행의 차이를 보이지 않았다. 어휘판단 반응시간에서 읽기이해부진아동은 일반아동과 비교하여 모든 점화조건에서 유의미하게 저조한 수행을 보였지만, 점화 조건에 따른 수행 양상은 일반아동과 유사하였다. 본 결과를 통해 읽기이해부진아동은 일반아동과 비교하여 형태소 인식 능력이 비효율적으로 이루어지고 있으나, 그 발달양상은 비슷한 패턴을 보인다는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the intrinsic morphological processes of children with poor reading comprehension. The subjects of this study were 16 children with poor reading comprehension in the 4th to 6th grades and 16 typically developing children. All children performed the lexical decision task of judging the words based on the compound target words presented after the priming words. At this time, there were three priming conditions: morpheme duplication with a target word, notation duplication with a target word, and unrelated with a target word. The accuracy and judgment response time were measured in real-time. As a result, in lexical judgment accuracy, children with poor reading comprehension showed no difference compared to typically developing children. On the other hand, in the lexical judgment response time, children with poor reading comprehension showed significantly lower performance under all priming conditions than their typically developing peers. The results show that children with poor reading comprehension have inefficient morphological recognition ability compared to their typically developing peers, but their developmental patterns are similar.
