국문 초록

심리학적 한국어 분석프로그램인 PLAS의 언어분석 신뢰도와 특성을 평가하기 위해서 기존에많이 사용된 KLIWC의 분석결과와 비교하였다. 신문기사, 신문사설, 비실험논문, 댓글, 소설, 에세이 등 다양한 유형의 텍스트를 수집하여, PLAS와 KLIWC로 각각 분석하였다. PLAS의 신뢰성평가를 위해서 두 프로그램이 공통으로 분류하는 범주를 비교한 결과 PLAS와 KLIWC의 동일범주 간에 강력한 상관이 나타났다. PLAS의 차별성 평가를 위해서, KLIWC 분류범주와 이보다더 세분된 PLAS 분류범주와의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 KLIWC의 상위범주와 PLAS의 세분된범주 간에 높은 상관관계가 관찰되었다. 이러한 결과는 PLAS의 언어분석 안정성과 세분된 변인의 차별성을 지지하는 결과였다. 또한 정보 전달을 목적으로 하는 신문기사와 국내외 주요 시사문제에 대한 책임 있는 주장을 목적으로 하는 신문사설을 비교하여 정보 글과 주장 글 간의 차이를 PLAS로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 PLAS에만 있는 상태성 범주, 감각적 표현, 시제 선어말어미등에서 신문사설과 신문기사 간의 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. PLAS에서만 분석 가능한 고유한범주 비교에서 신문 사설과 기사의 차이가 더 분명하게 나타났다. 마지막으로 PLAS의 장점과제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

In order to assess the reliability and distinguishing features of the Korean Psychological Language Analysis System (PLAS), a comparative analysis was conducted with KLIWC, a widely used language analysis program in previous research. A diverse range of text genres, including newspaper articles, editorials, non-experimental papers, comments, novels, and essays, were collected for analysis using both PLAS and KLIWC. The comparison of the categories commonly classified by both programs demonstrated a strong correlation, supporting the reliability of PLAS language analysis. Additionally, the analysis of the correlation between the categories of KLIWC and the more detailed categories of PLAS revealed a high correlation, indicating the distinctiveness of PLAS in capturing specific variables. Furthermore, a comparison was conducted between newspaper articles, which aim to convey information, and newspaper editorials, which aim to present responsible arguments on major domestic and international issues, in order to analyze the differences between informative and opinionated texts using PLAS. The analysis revealed significant differences between newspaper editorials and articles in PLAS-specific categories such as status, sensory expression, and tense pre-final endings. Through a comparison of unique categories analyzed only by PLAS, the distinctions between newspaper editorials and articles became more evident. Finally, an in-depth discussion on the characteristics and limitations of PLAS was conducted.
