국문 초록

이 논문은 해방 이후 형성된 도시개발 기구의 재편 구조와 이를 중심으로 구축된 새로운 공간 개념의 내용과 특징을 역사적 문맥 속에서 밝히고 있다. 일제의 식민 지배 속에서 시작된 근대 도시계획과 개발은 해방 이후 중요한 변화를 겪는다. 전후 부흥과 경제개발을 위해 등장한 건설부와 대한주택공사, 주택·도시 및 지역계획연구실은 도시에 대한 국가 차원의 통제 속에서 계획 모델을 구축하고, 인력을 양성해 갔다. ‘근린주구’와 ‘생활권’, 녹지 공간이 마련된 전원도시 구상은 그들의 노력과 활동을 발판으로 제기었으며, 이후 국내 도시에 일반화되었다. 도시근대화시책은 그러한 도시의 시설계획과 기법, 개발의 논리를 제시하고 있다. 1960년대 중반을 기점으로 구축된 도시기구와 공간론은 남한이 탈식민 속에서 자체적인 도시상을 만들어가게 했다. 산업기지와 수도권 신도시, 강남 등은 이러한 변화된 도시계획의 조건과 환경 속에서 구축된 것이다.

영문 초록

This thesis reveals the reorganization structure of the urban development organization formed after liberation and the contents and characteristics of the new space concept built around it in the historical context. Modern urban planning and development, which began under Japanese colonial rule, undergoes important changes after liberation. The Ministry of Construction, the Korea National Housing Corporation, and the Housing/Urban and Regional Planning Research Office, which appeared for postwar reconstruction and economic development, nurtured planning models and human resources under state-level control over cities. The concept of a garden city with ‘neighborhood districts’, ‘living zones’ and green spaces was raised based on their efforts and activities, and later generalized to domestic cities. The urban modernization policy presents the logic of urban facility planning, techniques, and development. The urban organization and spatial theory established in the mid-1960s allowed South Korea to create its own urban image amid decolonization. Industrial bases, new towns in the metropolitan area, and Gangnam were built under the conditions and environment of these changed urban planning.
