遊記를 통해 본 端磎 金麟燮의 삶의 단면들

국문 초록

이 논문은 김인섭의 유기를 검토하여 그의 삶을 보다 면밀히 이해하는 것을 목표로 작성되었다. 김인섭의 유기는 『端磎集』 초간본과 중간본, 그리고 『端磎日記』에 실린 초고본에 모두 11편이 남아 있다. 이본들을 비교하면 중간본이 가장 善本이지만 여기에도 인명을 비롯하여 여러 가지 오류와 의문점이 있으므로 중간본을 저본으로 두고 다른 이본들을 참조하여 정본을 만드는 것이 연구에 도움이 된다. 출사기의 유기에서 그의 머릿속은 출처에 관한 고민으로 가득했고, 희망 없는 벼슬살이에 지쳐 있었던 것으로 보인다. 그는 알려진 것보다 적어도 3년은 이른 시기에 벼슬길에 대한 희망을 접었으며, 그런 중에서도 약관의 學人의 모습을 보여주기도 하였다. 유배기의 유기와 금강산 기행시에서는 불평한 심사나 불우의식을 드러내기보다는 쉽게 접할 수 없는 아름다운 경관을 즐기며 마음속에 청정함을 채우려고 노력하였다. 다른 시기에 비하여 이 시기의 유기에는 좋은 표현이 많은데, 이것은 문장에 공을 들여 괴로운 현실을 잊고자 하는 심정의 발로인 듯하다. 강학저술기의 유기에서는 학자로서의 면모가 잘 드러난다. 지리산 유람에서는 강우지역 선현의 유적을 답사하면서 강우지역 학자들과 학문적 연대감을 확인했을 것이고, 선유동에서는 강학처를 마련하고픈 바람을 글에 은근히 내비쳤다. 남해 금산에서는 장쾌한 유람을 즐기면서도 자신의 장수와 나라의 안녕을 빌었으며, 타계하기 한 해 전 제자들과 함께 집현산에 올라서는 학자로서 득의한 마음을 표현하였다.

영문 초록

The paper aims to review Kim In-seop's abandonment and bring him closer to his life. A total of 11 articles remain in Kim In-seop's play, the first and middle editions of Dangyejip(『端磎集』), and the first drafts of Dangye’s Journal(『端磎日記』). Comparing these texts, the intermediate version is the best, but there are various errors and questions, including human life, so it is helpful for research to make the original copy by referring to other copies. In the Landscape Travelogues of his time in office, his head was full of thoughts about whether to stay in office or not, and he seemed to be tired of his hopeless office career. He gave up his hope for a government post at least three years earlier than he was known, and among them, he showed the appearance of a scholar of the age of twenty. In the Landscape Travelogues and Geumgangsan Mountain travel poems during the exile, they tried to fill their hearts with cleanliness while enjoying the beautiful scenery that was not easily seen, rather than showing their dissatisfaction. Compared to other periods, there are many good expressions in the Landscape Travelogues of this period, which is the result of expressing a desire to forget the painful reality by working hard on the sentence. In the Landscape Travelogues at the time when he taught students and wrote academic books, his aspect as a scholar is well revealed. During the Jirisan Mountain tour, he would have explored the ruins of the ancient sages and confirmed his academic solidarity with fellow scholars. When touring Seonyudong, he secretly expressed his desire to prepare a classroom to teach students. While enjoying a pleasant trip in Geumsan Mountain, Namhae, he prayed for his longevity and the well-being of the country. A year before his death, he climbed Jiphyeonsan Mountain with his disciples and expressed his proud heart as a scholar.
