영문 초록

Homophony is a figure of speech which replaces the original form unit with the homophonic or near-sound form unit through the homonym or near sound of the formal unit, in other words, homophony is a kind of metonymy based on phonetic relatedness effects. Homophony includes various linguistic phenomena which cause a special effect through metonymy based on phonetic relatedness effects and express the meaning by means of the phonetic features of homonym or near-sound in the process of using the language. This article focuses on the digital homophony. Digital homophony is extremely common in Chinese language because numbers not only represent quantity, but also closely related to the life of Chinese people. At the same time, it also carries abundant and mysterious cultural connotations in Chinese culture. It occupies an important position in Chinese culture. On the basis of an overview of Chinese digital homophony, the article selects the representative figures in Chinese culture to discuss the social and cultural connotations of digital homophony, which reflects the value and significance of numbers in Chinese culture.
