중학교 학교내 무한상상실 목공 체험활동과제 및 수업자료 개발

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 중학교 학교내 무한상상실에 적용하기 위해, 문제해결능력을 기를 수 있는 목공 체험활동과제와 수업자료를 개발하는 데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 준비, 개발, 개선의 3 단계 절차를 거쳐서 체험활동과제 및 수업자료 등을 개발하였다. 준비 단계에서는 2015 기술·가정 교육과정과 학교내 무한상상실에 관한 연구보고서를 바탕으로 교육목표를 설정하고, 무한상상실 운영자를 대상으로 한 설문과 인터뷰를 통해 학교내 무한상상실의 학교별 운영 현황 및 요구 분석을 실시하였다. 개발 단계에서는 먼저 6 개 예비주제를 제시하고 전문가 자문의견을 받아서 학교내 무한상상실에 적용하기 쉽고, 흥미가 높은 1 개 주제를 선택했다. 이 과정에서 선택된 목공 체험활동과제는 ‘블루투스 스피커 만들기’로서 일상생활과 관련이 높은 주제이다. 다음으로 전 단계에서 분석한 내용을 바탕으로 목공 체험활동과제의 단계별 수업목표를 진술하고, 문제해결능력을 기를 수 있는 목공 체험활동 내용을 선정하여 학습목표를 진술하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 수업과정안 및 수업자료(학생 활동지, 교사용 프레젠테이션 자료)를 개발하였다. 개선 단계에서는 수업과정안 및 수업자료의 타당도를 전문가 집단으로부터 받아서 1 차 수정하였으며, 이때 검사지 문항 평균 4.64 점, 최저 문항 4 점의 양호한 결과를 얻었다. 이어서 학생을 대상으로 예비시험을 통해서 체험활동과제의 개선점을 확인하였으며, 설문지 문항 평균 4.86 점, 최저 문항 4.75 점이라는 우수한 결과를 얻었다. 여기서 얻어진 학생 의견을 통해 목공 체험활동과제를 수정·보완하였다. 학교내 무한상상실 장비를 활용한 목공 체험활동과제와 관련 수업자료를 개발하여 목공 수업과 더불어 기술적 문제해결능력을 함양하고자 하는 이 연구의 결과는 전문가 타당도 검사 및 학생 예비시험을 거치면서 수정·보완되었다. 학교내 무한상상실 운영 및 목공 수업 설계에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop instructional material for a woodworking hands-on activity task for middle-school makerspaces to enhance students’ problem-solving abilities. The hands-on activity task and instructional material were developed in a three-stage process: preparation, development, and improvement. In the preparation stage, educational goals were set based on the 2015 revised curriculum and research reports on school makerspaces. Further, by administering surveys to and conducting interviews with makerspace operators, data on the current status and demand of school makerspaces were collected and analyzed. In the development stage, six preliminary themes were presented, and the theme that was easily applicable, and was of high interest, to school makerspaces was selected based on expert advisory opinions. The woodworking hands-on activity task selected in this stage is “making a Bluetooth speaker,” which is a theme significantly related to our daily life. Next, based on the analysis in the preparation stage, the educational goals for each stage of the woodworking hands-on activity task were stated, the content of the task that could enhance students’ problem-solving abilities was selected, and the learning goal was stated. Moreover, material such as student activity sheets and presentation material for teachers were developed. In the improvement stage, the proposed course plan and instructional material were validated by an expert and were accordingly revised. An average score of 4.64 points and a minimum of 4 points were obtained for a questionnaire of a test sheet from the experts. A preliminary test targeting students was conducted to obtain their opinions for improving the hands-on activity task. An average score of 4.86 points and a minimum score of 4.75 points on the questionnaire were obtained. Based on students’ opinions, the woodworking hands-on activity task was modified and supplemented. The developed woodworking hands-on activity task as well as class material on using the equipment in school makerspaces to cultivate students’ technical problem-solving ability were improved based on validity tests conducted by an expert and preliminary tests targeting student. The findings are expected to be helpful in the operation of school makerspaces and the design of woodworking classes.
