업 사이클링을 활용한 실과 의생활 단원의 용품 만들기 수업 자료 개발

국문 초록

이 연구는 업 사이클링을 통한 의생활교육 방안을 제시하기 위하여 실시하였으며, 이를 위하여 실과 교과서 6 종에 대한 재활용 관련 교육 내용을 분석하였고, 교과서 분석을 토대로 업사이클링 용품 만들기 수업 자료를 개발하였다. 실과 교과서의 재활용 관련 교육 내용을 2015 개정 실과교육과정 핵심개념에 따라 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 5 학년 실과교과서에서 재활용 관련 내용을 포함하는 단원은 핵심개념 ‘관리’6 종 교과서, ‘창조’1 종,‘효율’1 종으로‘관리’에서 가장 많이 포함하고 있었다. 6 학년은 ‘생활문화’4 종,‘생애설계’1 종,‘혁신’3 종,‘지속가능’3 종이었으며,‘생활문화’에서 가장 많이 포함하고 있었다. 5, 6 학년 실과교과서에서 나타난 재활용 재료는 대부분 입지 않는 옷, 페트병, 우유갑 등으로, 만드는 용품은 가방, 쿠션, 주머니, 화분, 연필꽂이 등으로 한정된 재료로 한정된 용품 만들기가 제시되어 있어 다양한 재료와 방법을 활용한 지도 방안의 모색이 요구되었다. 업 사이클링을 활용한 용품 만들기 수업 자료 개발을 위하여 교과서 분석결과 재활용 재료로 제시된 양말, 티셔츠, 수건, 커피 자루, 이불보, 포장지 리본 등을 재료로 활용하였다. 업사이클링 용품 만들기는 업 사이클링 디자인 기법과 2015 개정 실과교육과정의 의생활 관련 내용을 고려하였다. 8 가지 업 사이클링 용품 만들기를 제안하였으며 양말목을 이용하여 직조하기, 양말 링을 만들어 바구니 만들기, 티셔츠를 이용하여 대바늘뜨기로 바구니 만들기, 수건을 잘라 꼬아 냄비 받침 만들기, 티셔츠로 프린지 달린 주머니 만들기, 커피자루로 수세미 만들기, 포장 리본으로 브로치 만들기, 이불 천과 이불솜을 이용하여 컵받침 만들기이었다. 이 연구는 개발한 자료의 검증 절차를 거치지 못하여 한계점이 있으나, 기후 변화 등 환경에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있는 시점에서 업 사이클링 수업은 환경, 지속가능, 자원 관리 등을 고려한 의생활교육의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다. 추후 개발된 자료에 대한 적용이 필요하리라고 생각된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to suggest a method of clothing life education through upcycling. The content of education related to recycling was analyzed for six types of textbooks, and educational materials for making upcycling products were proposed based on this textbook analysis. The results of analyzing the content of education related to the recycling of practical arts and textbooks were as follows. In the practical textbooks for 5th grade, the units containing content related to recycling were the core concepts of “management” (6 types), “creation” (1 type), and “efficiency” (1 type), of which management included the most. In the 6th grade, the core concepts were “living culture” (4 types), “life planning” (1 type), “innovation” (3 types), and “sustainability” (3 types), of which living culture included the most. Most of the recycled materials that appeared in the 5th and 6th grade practical textbooks were clothes, plastic bottles, and milk cartons, while the items to make included bags, cushions, pockets, flower pots, and pencil holders. To propose upcycling-based clothing education materials, the following were suggested as recycled materials to use from the textbook analysis: T-shirts (and yarn cut from T-shirts), towels, coffee sacks, blankets, and wrapping paper ribbons. Up-cycling fashion design techniques and clothing-related content of the 2015 revised practical curriculum were considered, from which eight were suggested: weaving with sock necks, making sock rings to make baskets, cutting T-shirts and knitting them, cutting and twisting towels to make potholders, making fringe pockets from T-shirts, making scrubbers from coffee sacks, creating brooches from packing ribbons, and duvet fabric. Furthermore, there was a proposal to make coasters using cotton. This study had the limitation of not conducting a verification process on the developed data. However, at a time when interest in the environment (such as climate change) is increasing, recycling classes can be used as basic data for clothing education that considers the environment. Moreover, it is envisaged that it will be necessary to apply the data developed in the future.
