국문 초록

본 논문은 문학교육이 문학을 향유하는 것에 초점을 맞출 필요가 있다는 문제의식에서 출발한다. 이를 위해서는 소설교육에서 감정이입과 미적 공체험에 주목할 필요가 있다고 보고 논의를 진행하였다. 먼저 소설교육에서 도달해야 할 쾌락의 본질을 ‘타자의 향유를 통한 자기 향유’로 규정하고, 현행의 문학교육을 고찰하면서 성찰과 해석 중심의 문학교육에서 미적 향유 중심의 문학교육으로 나아갈 필요성을 제기하였다. 미적 향유를 위한 소설교육은 일차적으로 감정이입의 쾌락을 즐기는 교육인 동시에 이로부터 한걸음 나아가 미적 공체험을 즐기는 교육이어야 한다고 보고 각각에 대해 그 구체적인 특성을 규명하였다. 그리고 이러한 소설 교육이 되기 위한 구체적인 방향과 방안을 교수자, 학습자, 작품의 차원에서 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This paper begins with the sense in which education of literature should be focused on enjoying literature. For this, it is important to give weight to the pleasure of empathy and furthermore the pleasure that is attained by aesthetic distancing. This paper first clarifies the nature of the cathartic pleasure to be reached in the education of novel, and then raises the necessity for proceeding from reflection and interpretation toward aesthetic pleasure while examining the current education of literature. It makes a point that the education of novel should be based on empathy and furthermore on aesthetic co-experience in order for it to be education for aesthetic enjoyment. While clarifying the nature of empathy and aesthetic co-experience, this paper characterizes a specific plan for such education of novel in the dimensions of teachers, learners, and literary works.
