국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 다문화 사회의 소설 교수-학습 방법을 모색하는 것이다. 다문화 사회에서 상호소통하기 위해 필요한 것은 타인에 대한 이해이다. 이는 자기이해를 통해 실현 가능하다. 다문화 사회에서 자기정체성은 자신을 둘러싼 타인과의 관계를 통해 사회적으로 형성되기 때문이다. 이에 이 연구에서는 학습자의 사회적 자기정체성 형성을 다문화 사회 소설교육의 목표로 설정하였다. 이를 위해 소설 체험을 강조하고 교육연극 활동을 제안하였다. 교육연극은 ‘평등의식, 상호배려, 자기정체성’ 함양과 같은 가치교육이나 고차원적 사고력 함양에 효과적이며 또한 체험을 통한 체현된 지식을 바탕으로 타인과 자신을 이해하며 자신의 삶과 행위를 반성하면서 학습자의 사회적 자기정체성을 형성할 수 있게 한다. 이에 교육연극의 활용 원리로 ‘유희성, 사회문화성, 역동성, 통합성’을 밝혔다. 일련의 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 교육연극을 활용한 다문화 사회의 소설 교수-학습 과정을 살핀 후 오정희의 소설 『중국인 거리』의 교수-학습 실제를 제시하였다. 교육연극을 활용한 다문화 사회의 소설 교수-학습 방법은 학습자 개개인의 사회적 자기정체성 형성과 사회통합을 이끄는 데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore novel teaching-learning method in the context of multicultural society. Understanding of others is essential in any interactions taking place in the multicultural society. Understanding of others comes from understanding of self as self-identity is formed from the social relations with others. Thus, this study aims for formation of learner’s social identity based on novel education in multicultural society. In this study, it is suggested that emphasis on novel experience and educational drama activity be considered. Educational drama is effective to improve higher order thinking skills and value education such as ‘equality awareness, mutual consideration, identity.’ In addition, this enables learners to form their social identities by understanding and reflecting ‘self’ and ‘others’ with embodied knowledge rooted in experience. Hence, educational drama can be utilised for ‘play, social culture, dynamics and integration.’ The discussion is followed by novel teaching-learning method using educational drama in multicultural society context, and authentic teaching-learning model based on oh, jeong hee’s 『Chinese street』 is provided. The novel teaching-learning method utilising educational drama in the context of multicultural society is able to contribute to social integrity and social identity of each learning individuals.
