신토피컬 독서 후 토론 입론문에 나타난 초등학생의 담화 종합 양상 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 신토피컬 독서 후 토론을 위해 작성하는 입론문에 나타난 초등학생의 담화 종합 양상을 탐색하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 관련된 선행 연구를 살펴보고, 토론을 위한 입론문 쓰기를 위하여 신토피컬 독서가 선행되어야 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이 연구에서는 4가지 주제에 관련된 8편의 신토피컬 텍스트를 제공하고, 96편의 토론 입론문을 작성한 뒤, 입론문에 나타난 내용적 담화 종합 양상, 구조적 담화 종합 양상을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 학생들의 입론문에서 내용적으로 객관적인 자료 중심의 발췌, 중요도 재평정에 따른 순서 조정과 대체, 병합과 분리, 자료에 대한 실제성 부여, 상대 입장의 정보를 활용한 예상 질문 및 응답 준비 양상이 나타났다. 구조적으로는 시각적 요소의 사용, 입론문 양식의 구조화가 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 학생들이 담화 종합 과제를 수행하며, 자신의 입장과 대치되는 입장의 글을 활용할 수 있으며. 자신의 언어 수행 능력과 태도에 적합한 글쓰기 구조화를 실시한다는 점을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the aspect of elementary school students’ discourse synthesis revealed in the argumentative writings of Syntopical reading discussion. In this respect, relevant previous researches were examined, and it was confirmed that in order to write the argumentative writings for the discussion class, syntopical text reading should be preceded. In addition, it was also verified that the discourse synthesis in argument writing is similar to the language performance tasks in college and workplace. This study provided 8 syntopical texts related to 4 kinds of themes, composed 96 arguments of discussion, and examined the aspects of contentual discourse synthesis and structural discourse synthesis shown in the argument text. As a result of the study, students’ argument revealed the aspects of excerpting from an objective and data-centered content, adjusting and substituting the order according to importance re-rating, merging and splitting, giving reality to the material, and preparing expected questions and answers by using relative position information. From the structural perspective, it showed the aspects of using visual elements and structuring argument format. From these results of this study, it was found that students performed the discourse synthesis tasks, take advantage of writings of the opposing position, and carry out writing structuring appropriate to their language ability and attitude.
